Brittney Griner is a woman. Big surprise! Cuban says he'd consider drafting her.

Can women enter the nba draft? She's listed at 6'8", 208lb, wears a "17 or 18" mens shoe and has an 86" wingspan. For comparison, Jeremy Evans was 6'9", 190 lbs, size 15 shoe, and 90" wingspan.

Worth an invite to camp? With as plain as the jazz usually play this, I doubt the Jazz would bring her in even for summer league. But who'd be interested in seeing her play come July?

The Jazz once drafted a female player in the 10th round.

I agree it's unlikely any woman is athletic enough to make the cut, but there's no harm in giving her the chance.

Exactly. I mean, she's the ugliest dunk ever(besides Birdman at the dunk competition). Her vertical leap is 27", which is an inch shorter than average male. Blocks aren't just about being taller, or being able to reach higher. It's about timing. She appears to have block timing down pretty damn well, and that's not easily teachable.

Besides... she's a draw. She's going to draw more female fans to the game. Who knows what she could inspire. I think someone out there, even if it's not us, needs to give her a chance. I'll go on record and say she could be a starter in the d-league, given the chance and a couple years of minutes to develop.

Everyone guarding her is like a foot shorter. She can't make it in the NBA where everyone's taller than everybody.

From what I've seen of her play, she's too slow to do much in the NBA, especially at 6'8". If she was above seven feet, then she may have had a chance.

I can't imagine her trying to post up against any bigs in the league, so at 6'8", she'd have to be a small forward. Can she shoot from 18-20'? Is she quick enough to guard the SF's in the league? She'd be a career D-Leaguer or a novelty player on the end of someone's bench (at best). She needs to dominate in the WNBA.

This is what I imagined Enes Kanter to be like after I read Draft Express's description of him. They made him sound like he was just taller then everyone and just shot over people and was really slow. Enes Kanter isn't even that tall for his position, all skill baby. I also heard that scouts were wondering if Kanter could even dunk.

Ya I don't know why I brought up Enes Kanter into a Brittney Griner thread either.

It's not like I've seen her dressed up or anything, but if those two just finished playing a basketball game, 30 minutes played by each, and they were walking down the hall together I bet most straight men would be more attracted to Kanter.

Edit; After looking on Google Images, I'm sure most straight men would be more attracted to Kanter even if they were dressed up.

Because when you are talking about a record-setting athlete, what really matters is how pretty they are.

If they are female, anyhow.
