The OUTRAGEOUS.. the STUPENDOUS UTAH JAZZ host the overmatched OKC snaps 4/9 @ 7pm

Dude Ty isn't getting fired no matter what. Not making the playoffs gets us a little better pick. Thats it.
So might as well root for them to push the Lakers out
If the Jazz lose 4 games in a row, therefore miss the playoffs I would say that's as good of a reason to fire a coach as there is. If a coach loses his team to end and season and misses the playoffs you gotta hope it would be a possibility. Fans won't by tickets to a losing team

LOL

Millsap trying to post up KD was hilarious.

More hilarious even, was that Ty Corbin kept trying to go after Durantula. Fail after fail after fail didn't deter Corbin from doing what he wanted...

Heaven forbid we actually try and run an offense... Or hell, attack the mighty Nick Collison. Kevin martin is a lockdown defender, right? .........

Oh ye of little faith.

And if you don't have faith...

Then at least have hope.

The worst thing that could happen is that the Jazz win games right now. As long as we lose, there's still a chance for Corbin to be fired. If there's not a chance, then at least the losses provide a hope that there's a chance he'll be fired.

I don't want them back but I think the jazz will re-sign them both

Everyone needs a sharp shooter coming off the bench. You don't like him because he starts and plays tons more minutes then he should, but coming off the bench and playing no more then 20 minutes would be good for the jazz.

Also he'd be valuable as he can play both pg and sg off the bench. Also think he'd be a lot more consistent shooter coming off the bench playing less minutes.

I for one hope we sign Foye. As for Mo, we may need to sign him out of necessity if we are unable to sign one of the better free agent pg's or trade for Bledsoe.

Millsap and Williams had more turnovers than the entire OKC team. This would have been a huge win, but we should still be OK.

Don't think either is back next year. Call me a sucker, but I have faith in devin Lindsay. I think we draft cj McCollum and get someone like Eric maynor to hold us over until he is ready to start. I think burks takes foyes minutes next year. Hopefully.

You can have all the faith you want, but he's surrounded by KOC, Greg Miller, and Tyrone Corbin. I don't know if he can overcome all three of those obstacles.

The Jazz sorely need a real point guard. Whichever scenario makes this happen makes me happy.

And while we're at it, we also could use a go-to scorer, although it's possible that could be Kanter.

He might be one of them. But you have to have a hero-baller. In other words, a perimeter player that can handle the ball and make shots off the dribble*. It's just way too easy to take away the post in a critical situation.

*Which is why I REALLY liked Deron. He was a legit iso scorer but balanced that with real PG ability.

While I completely agree with you that there would be a reason its not happening. Every interview with Lindsey and KOC they have said that Corbin is doing a great job. Have a hard time seeing the Jazz fire him after all the praise and the extention the FO gave him. So you might as well just get used the the fact that Corbin is going to be back next year. Regardless.

I had hope that the Jazz were going to play the young guys a lot more minutes this year after the way last year ended. It didn't happen. Corbin getting fired this off season is the same type of hope. It isn't happening

I actually didn't have much of an issue with Ty in this game, other than keeping Sap instead of Favors in the last couple minutes. But whatever.

Still want him gone though.

how could you with 8 players available(well not counting evans and murphy).
he cant make lineup mistakes.

I don't want the Jazz ot re-sign AL, Sap, Mo, Foye, Watson or Tinsley. It is obvious that the Jazz are not good enough to beat the elite teams consistently. Both Mo and Sap could play a vital role as backups but neither see themselves as backups. I would try to trade Sap for a solid hard working backup or I would let him walk and sign a Carl Landry type player who is fine with a backup role.

Foye is too inconsistent and takes away from Burks development. Yes he is a streaky 3pt shooter but he really doesn't not contribute in any other way. Watson and Tinsley are done. I would approach Tinsley with a coaching opportunity if he wants to retire. He can mentor the Jazz rookie PG they draft. I would like the Jazz to bring back Carroll simply because he brings energy to the team. I think he has gotten shafted recently with the limited playing time. However, I don't see it happening unless the Jazz can move Marvin Williams. Every team should have a Carroll on their team.

I don't see Ty getting fired but if the Jazz miss the playoffs perhaps the front office will be willing to make more changes. My concern is the Jazz will stay the course and bring back AL, Sap, Mo and possibly Foye. If this happens then I will find another hobby.

if foye brought anything to the table consistently, to make up for his inconsistent but sometimes gamewinning ability to shoot the three ball, i would be more than happy to keep him on next year. seriously anything, a driving game, good defence, passing, setting screens, hustle, anything. but i just can't see anything apart from jacking up treys.

What else are they going to say?

Has there ever in the history of sports been a gm or owner who didn't say "all the right things" during the season to show support for their coach?

Could you imagine what would happen if koc, Lindsey, or greggie said on 1320 (or any news outlet), "Corbin sucks. He has been pathetic. He doesn't have our support. His rotations don't make sense. He plays the vets too much and never holds them accountable. We are going to fire his sorry *** at the end of the season after we throw away the playoffs."
