What's new

Turning in my Jazz fan card

I was never really a big fan of The Norm in the first place.

I don't have a problem with him. However if he is not happy here than I wish him all the best in his search for a new team/hobby. As for me? Well I am right where I am supposed to be.

The Norm, It's best to just enjoy the Jazz (in this case, the C4) and hope it will get better someday, but just don't hope too much. When we are bad, stay a fan just don't hope too much. Even if we Signed Jefferson to the Max, I will still be a fan. heart broken yes, but still a fan. Don't give that up, especially with Hayward Favors , Kanter and Burks all under the age of 23 (hayward just turned 23, kanter is like 20 and burks and Favors are both 21.)

Long Live Utah Jazz Basketball and the era of THE CORE4!!!!!!!

Speaking of fair weather, I'm not so sure I enjoy this mid-April snow.

Loyalty. It's all about Loyalty... not Dwight Howard Loyalty, But real Loyalty.

one of America's most truly distinguised philosophers, Josiah Royce, once said,

Loyalty is for the loyal man not only a good, but for him the chief amongst all the moral goods of his life, because it furnishes. . . him a personal solution [to] the hardest of [all] human . . .problems, the problem: "For what do I live?"

Loyalty
Loyalty goes both ways. And this franchise has forgotten that. Or takes it for granted. Their attitude towards their own fanbase is disturbing.

Do you mean this in the sense that the FO will stick with players and coaches to the point where they alienate the fans?

What do you all have to show for your loyalty besides 1) being able to call other people "lesser" fans, and 2) enabling the organization to which you are so dedicated to continue to screw you?

ha. Well, i guess i just get to feel good that I was loyal to the team i have loved since 3rd grade. To be honest, I actually do think the FO will get it right this offseason. I trust Lindsey and I think KOC knows enough for me to believe in the FO. Lindsey said in an interview recently that he can't wait to see the Jazz play defense. If you use that quote to try and figure out what will happen in the offseason, you can come up with a few conclusions. One of those conclusions is that Big Al will not be a Jazz man next year.

I don't believe #1 holds water here. The Norm is saying he is no longer a fan. Not a fan of a different degree. He has just moved on. Good for him I guess but not for me.

I watch the Jazz for entertainment purposes. Corbin's "offense" and rotations aren't entertaining to me, but the Jazz owners fully support him and nothing is going to change. No further explanation needed.

Seeya guys. You were all great fun.

Hey everybody, it's LeBron James!

With that being said, I think you'll be back. You're a good dude.

I respect Norm here. The vapid attacks against him? Not so much.
Meh. The Norm has been a surly jackass for as long as I can remember. Just pure hate all the time.

Have a nice life, The Norm.

I mean it in the sense that the owner threatened the fans, and franchise paid media have attacked the fans on their behavior and attendance. That is not loyalty. If they want the loyalty of the fans they should start doing something to deserve it and not attack them.

I agree. Utah is lucky to have the Jazz but the Jazz are damn lucky to have Utah. They have had a feirce monopoloy on a rabid fanbase for over 30 years now.
