Following potential 2013 draftees

You're saying you don't like Rondo?

Pretty much never have. Maybe that makes me a fool, but when Bill Simmons is lukewarm on him half the time, that tells me a lot.

Let me just say that Boston wins the championship in 6 games or less in 2010 if he could hit a shot.

I think it depends what team he's in. Can you imagine playing him with Steph Curry at SG and Klay Thompson at SF?

I never understood holding a press conference to announce you're not going anywhere...

EDIT: And before the next douche says I only say that because I hate UNC.. I hated it when Patrick Patterson did it at UK.

My only fear is McGary & Robinson III will hold a similar press conference announcing they're staying (Burke did one last year).

I have a feeling Michigan/Beilein would likely talk them into coming back & "growing" as a player, etc, etc, etc. Make the players feel sorry for the program with all the freshmen leaving.

What I don't get is - don't these players understand the amount of endowment Michigan gets each year anyway? Not to mention the revenue stream from various sources, etc. Yeah they "need" you. For the money that is. They are just using you!

Yes? But that hasn't changed his decision to not draft a guard who can't shoot though has it?

First off, like Numb says, I said rarely. Rondo is an outlier.

Second, it depends on which team drafts a player like that. You'll notice that I said "for us", implying the Utah Jazz. Rondo works/worked on Boston because when they drafted him, they had a ton of shooters. We, Utah, do not. That makes it a lot more difficult for a player like Rondo to succeed.

Third, one of the main reasons Rondo works in the NBA is because he is incredibly athletic, smart, and is noted as one of the hardest working players in the league. When you have other skills that make up for your deficiencies, then you'll be ok. However, MCW (and Kendall Marshall for that matter) do not have the skills that make up for their lack of a shot.

You better come prepared next time you want to argue with me, because I'm smarter than you, and you don't know jack **** about basketball son. Now quit jackpotting on this board and get some damn work done.

Hantlers out.

Burke did improve though. AP and Naismith player of the year.

Most coaches (not all) will tell a player that if their draft stock is high, then they should leave. However if they think it can be improved, they will tell them that. McGary and Robinson III have a lot of growing, plus they'll get to be the focal points of the offense next year. That is probably appealing to them. I personally don't care that much, because I'm not that impressed by either of them. They're just ok as NBA prospects if you ask me.

Also, yes Michigan does make money off of them, but a school like Michigan is going to make money anyways. They're a football school. Anyways, nothing wrong with them furthering their education and becoming better basketball players. They need to.

I agree. It's just attention whoring from players who already get a lot of attention. If you're gonna go, then get out and say it. If you're gonna stay, then just stay. It's not that difficult.

We gave 3 guys who shoot over 40% from deep. 3 of 4 of our rotation big men can hit midrange jump shots. The Jazz can shoot. Rondo would work on this team.

****!!!

That's 1 less PG coming out this year... Burke moving into top #5 ??

Oklahoma State guard Marcus Smart will return for his sophomore season, sources tell Y! Sports. He could've been a top 5 pick in NBA Draft.
