Whoa. Big mistake. RT @WojYahooNBA Marcus Smart will return for his sophomore season. He could've been a top 5 pick in NBA Draft.

Wow. Stunned Marcus Smart staying at OK State, via @WojYahooNBA. Rarely see that decision aside from the lockout.

If Woj report is true, first players since Blake Griffin to turn down a Top 3 pick to return to school ...
As long as he makes marginal improvements I don't see him falling out of the lottery. Next year's draft is still light on PG's and I see Smart dominating next year. He has good character and I think he is known as a worker.
Who's we? U got no crew bro.
There's a barrage of twitter feed right now panning Smart's (not so smart) Decision:
Ho-leee ****. Cy, bro.. grab a calc.
Top 5 pick to 'likely late lottery'.. less one year of earnings......
Smart don't give a **** about the moola, he only cares about following his heart.

Not really. Great year? Leads OSU to Final 4? Still Top 3 RT @Jon_Dove42: doesn't he risk dropping w/ projected talent in nxt years class?
WTF!! OSU to Final 4 next year? What's the odds for that?
I will go out on an early limb... Smart will go from top 3 to mid first.

Why are we complaining then? We can get Smart next year. We should be throwing a party.
Limb? That's just reality.
I think that's a pretty safe prediction.
Scouts/teams were willing to overlook his lack of shooting & high TO's this year because it's a weak draft.
However, if he struggled again next year, I think mid-first is the best he could hope for.

The draft next year isn't that deep at all IMO. Yes, it has a lot of super stars, but I don't see it as a specially deep draft. I don't see Smart falling past late lottery. The guy will come out and be a better player. He isn't Terrance Jones.
Smart returning is good for Wolters and Kabongo I would think, because that's one less available point guard ahead of them meaning teams that want or need one would be more willing to take a risk on them late in the first-round.
