Following potential 2013 draftees

I think Smart puts his name in with the option to withdraw. He should go through the process either way. I think he'll change his mind ultimately.

Which is why I'm sick over his decision. He made a multi-million dollar mistake.. fact.

Perhaps. Some players leave early so they can get lottery money, but then find themselves out of the NBA in 4-5 years because they weren't ready. Some players stay, get drafted later, but are better because of it and have a 10+ year career. Which one is better?

I've said it. But I hate it when others agendas can ruin a kids dreams... and it happens all the time.

Oh please. You don't know if somebody's agenda ruined his dream. How do you even know what his dream is? All you have is pure speculation right now. Maybe he really enjoys college and wants to stay a little bit longer. Maybe he thinks he can improve, and wants to help his team do better. There's a myriad of reasons.

Now let me ask you something. I remember last year, there were rumors that Anthony Davis or MKG (I can't remember which) might stay in school because they loved it. Now I remember you saying you thought it was stupid, but I don't remember you ever implying that somebody with an agenda was telling them to stay in school and potentially ruin their dreams. Keep it consistent old man, keep it consistent.

I would side with leave earlier with the bigger contract, hands down. If I didn't develop on an NBA team, with individual trainers, and pro facilities.. then I likely wouldn't have anyway. Not a flawless take.. but far better than the empirical data that proves the alternative.

I'm not cherry-picking.. you are. I have already made it in my life.. I'm pulling for others now, regardless of team. I hate teams but love the players.. but I hate the game.
