Woman Sues CVS over Racial Slur

I think being Korean right now is probably one of the harder Asian nationalities to be, because of the whole North Korean thing. The thing is though, most racist people just assume all Asian people are Chinese, so it's not even like the majority of racism they get is accurate.

It would mean you might actually know what the average life of a Korean entails.

Or perhaps you know this woman personally? Or hell even Cy personally?

If Cyrone Torbin is Korean, I'll acknowledge my comment it misplaced. Otherwise, I don't see any reason to give credence to your muck-raking. My detailed knowledge, or lack thereof, doesn't make Cyrone Torbin's attempt to marginalize the Ms. Lee's experiences any less deplorable.

Cy, in the dirty south. He might even be the minority where he lives.

Not quite, 60% white were I live.

I'm the minority on the basketball court though. Probably the only place in the world that it kind of sucks to be white and you get treated unfairly before people even see you perform.

Perhaps it doesn't. But it does make your line of attack uninformed and shallow. You know nothing of this woman, cy or the average life of a Korean.

Or she would like some free money. One or the other.

Because getting money in a lawsuit against a corporate giant like CVS is so easy? Not to mention the joy of have idiots and jerks question your motives, character, and intent without knowing the slightest thing about you.

I'm not marginalizing it.

Being called a name on a credit card receipt isn't worth a million dollars. Period. This chick is just trying to get as much money as she can. I buy that she was probably offended by this, and wanted a sincere apology. Then she probably though about it and got greedy.

95% (give or take a few %'s) of african americans I have played basketball with have been beyond god awful terrible. But 99% of them talked like they were MJ reincarnate.

People will forget about this after it happens. She will have to live with a few months of ridicule, then she will be swimming in free mula.

Now you are starting to get it.

Is this the pot calling the kettle black?

Now, assuming that is true, all you have to do is connect that to some reason that Cyrone Torbin's comment on putting "White Bread Cracker" on a receipt was in any comparable, if you want to pretend you were making a relevant argument.

Of course, if you're just interested in pointless ad hominems, your work is done. If you were just trying to distract from Cyrone Torbin's callousness by trying to make me focus on me, you failed. Frankly, I don't really care either way what you think of me on that score. I don't need a massive amount of information or depth to recognize marginalization. You don't even pretend the comment was anything else.

I love how you say you're not marginalizing it, and follow that with an entire paragraph where you marginalize and dismiss the woman's experiences, despite being completely ignorant of them.

Now you are starting to get it.

I've known about it all along. I wish you you could see it, instead thinking you were talking about me. I haven't said a word about Cyrone Torbin's motives, character, or intent.
