Following potential 2013 draftees

UK was not a complete team. Not enough scoring up front, not enough outside shooting, weak PG play.

What Archie has translates to the NBA. He's going to make plays. He can create his own shot and hit it. He can move the ball. The Jazz need a player like that. With Burke and McCollum off the board, I think you have to look at Archie. Get a PG at #21.

Poor man's Scotty Hopson.

I have no doubt that Archie will be able to "get his" in the NBA, I do have doubts as to whether he'll ever play a critical role on a winning team.

I think we need a guy like this. We've got Favors who is a defensive guy and passive on offense. Hayward is a set up guy and 3rd-option shooter. Burks is a decent combo, but not a go-to player right now.

I'm picturing Archie and Kanter playing together, and it's working for me. Move Hayward to the SF, play Burks and Archie in the backcourt and let the three of them take turns initiating. I think Schroeder is a reach at #14 unless he's stellar in workouts.

The reason everyone stood around and watched Al was because no one else could break down the defense and score the ball. Hayward was okay running the pick-and-roll, but that's not the play your build the offense around. I think you build around a guard like Archie and Kanter with a shooter on the wing and Favors hitting the offensive glass Lamar Odom style.

Boner.

More stuff..... It's the mental toughness he has. You can't teach that kind of competitive fire, swagger and confidence.... I see him breaking down defenses and finishing or dishing off to whomever's defender he draws--Favors, Burks, or Kanter.

Are people seriously saying Archie ****ing Goodwin is going to be better than Alec Burks??

LMAO

goodwin is a poor mans Jordan Crawford.

Burks's Freshman year stats dominate Goodwin's in every way (in less minutes per game). The only thing Goodwin has on him is assist, but imagine how many assist Burks would have had if he had UK's talent around him.

I still want karasev.

wolters is a huge stretch at 21 but I like him a lot. getting great reviews from scouts. gym rat.

schröder is the player I want second most at 14 proceeded by McCollum.

Goodwin I am hot and cold on at 14 but at 21 great gamble talent. hard to pass on. I would take karasev over him though.

still a big fan of dieng. 14 not so much

giannis is the great white whale. he is the kind of player every one wants but is afraid to draft. he can lose people their jobs or make them a genius.

I totally love the idea of drafting Jackie Carmichael in the second. love his passion. would be great playing with tomic. if we can bring him over.

huge list of second rounders I like.

lotto machine on espn has us taking Kelly olynyk at 14. once it had us gett McW. after 5 tries jazz got #3 and took oladipo. I think the jazz would grab Burke there.

Goodwin.

I've been fair about UK guys, as much as you guys like to be haterz.

Early in the year I though Archie played like a top 5 draft type player. Blazing speed, impossible guard, and hit every freakin circus shot he threw up. I knew those shots wouldn't keep falling, but it was damn hard to not love watching him play.

Later in the year, those shots weren't falling and I found myself cursing his mother for having birthed him. On this board I said hell no to Archie and called him an *** clown that I hope turns pro and leaves UK.

Where I stand now.. he has extreme speed, very good length, damn good athlete, very hard worker, motor is non-stop.. never gets tired. He has something I love in a player. Killer instinct. He wants to not just win but see you cry.. your children's children cry.

He tries too hard. Dribbles into traffic and..... falls down????? Over and over.. and its weird. Nauseatingly nauseating.
Freshman mistakes or no brains?? There's the question on Archie.. and I just don't know which it is.

He'll be VERY good (as good as anyone in this draft) if he's got it intellectually. If not, a total waste of a draft pick and won't play at all.

His range IS that wide.
