What's new

Following potential 2013 draftees

First and foremost I don't play in mud. I wouldn't look to trade for a possible top ten pick. Naturally no one is giving up a top ten pick next year that's just rediculus kkk. I'd just look for a mid teen's or early 20's pick, then let Al and Millsap walk sign some cheap contracts, and give the core 4 the rains.

They will probably struggle early as they go through growing pains, but see them putting it together and having a nice finish though, and getting a top 10 to 14 pick to go with a pick in the 17 to 25 area. One of three things will happen... 1. We get the pg of the future to lead the team. 2. We get two very good role players to add to the c4, and much better then we would get this year. 3. The core four exceed all expectations and make the playoffs, giving us two picks in the 17-25 range. We still get better players next year.

I'm going to stay on my high horse. You can play with the pigs all you want. I like it up here, but with my plan the jazz in the future are better off, and there's a better chance we get a franchise pg to lead this team. If you think Schroeder or MCW will be that you have hard time ahead of you. They will be no better then Wolters or Canaan with potential to be worse then them.

not all gm's are created equally. I'm not talking about getting a top pick. Read my comments to kkk, and picks 10 to 20 next year will be even better. The thought of three picks in any first round will be more then enough to get a few gm's to pull the trigger for instant gratification.

with comments like this, yes I love my high horse. I find it funny that you think this. Don't you get tired of playing in the mud?

you should try my high horse;). kkk and others have pimped him so hard Schro has become a superstar over night here. I suppose he could end up being pretty good but there's a greater chance he will be nothing more then a role player.

again I want to see a gm give up a draft pick in what is looking to be one of the deepest drafts in the history of the nba, for what is looking to be the weakest draft in recent memory.

How many times do I need to repeat?? I said "not all gm's were created equally." There are plenty of gm's and owners that will get caught in the moment like kkk and do a bad deal, and at the same time they see a player they fall in love with and do dumb things, or there's a team with two picks in next years draft and won't feel the sting as much if they give up a lower pick in the 17 to 25 range

I liked it.

LOL.. well it's kinda like saying we all have a chance at Chris Paul this Summer.

Is it possible? Yes. Is it probable? Hell NO.

I said we should try to target a 17 to 21 pick. I'm not looking for Chris Paul. I simply want to get a better pg then some pg that will be no better then some average role player. I don't want to draft a pg this year only to turn around and get one in the first next year.

I don't think there's a really good PG in this draft. Burke, maybe..

Well you saw Schroeder went against Andrew Harrison. Ok Schroeder has been playing adults bball, but discounting that, he seems to have the quickness, athletic abilities, passing, vision and poise to go against one of the best prospect for next year.

We can hope the team we got the pick off of will suck next year. But the fact of the matter is, that team will be playing for real - if they knew they've traded away their pick (ala GSW this year), while all the other teams put on their full tank mode.

So I'm not going to put myself in someone else's hands. I'm gonna pick the BPA and train them up and damn it, I'm gonna trust my scouting skills and not waiting on some other team to suck so that I could succeed.

This is all I've got to say about this.

Lots of chatter in Houston Talk radio about Millsap or Jefferson helping their team. They have a plethora of PF's and one Jeremy Lin who might be available.

I think Thomas Robinson could learn to out Faried Faried.

I don't like Lin as a role player.

Pick your favorite Houston PF.
