Clippers have to be kicking themselves

You can always say things like that with hindsight, but in reality you never know. They didn't want to mix with the chemistry they had with the team. Their true problem is that they have no defense! and I don't think just adding Milsap while taking away a good defender in Bledsloe would have helped a whole lot this year.

I do agree with you though, they are probably kicking themselves. A lot of people thought of them as title contenders. At least it makes our lost to the Grizzlies not look as bad...

Agreed, was thinking about that after Blake got injured. It's an interesting dilemma because they may have won the series if they had a healthy Millsap to back up Griffin. But if Memphis still bounced them, then it could be disastrous because some league sources now believe Chris Paul may leave the Clippers. Word is that Griffin & DeAndre Jordan don't like playing with him, they say he is disrespectful and condescending. With Vinny Del Negro likely out as head coach, I think it'll be a wild summer for Flop City.

I doubt Millsap would have propelled them past the Clippers, especially with Griffin hurt. He would have made the Clippers better though, for sure.

If say the Bledsoe for milsap deal was on the table and they got greedy, they have to be kicking themselves right now. With milsap they would have been a contender and advanced past the grizzlies.

yet people hate on millsap rag on him and want him gone.

because he does not fit into alfense

cp3 to knicks.

buy a house next to deron.
they could have fun hang out together as friends.
and atleast 4 times a year they put their friendship on hold and get to be rivals.

So the All-star point gaurd with 8 years experience tells the pf and C each with less than 4 years experience what to do and they want 'respect'. What has DeAndre ever done? Besides jumping a KIA what has Blake done? Stupid kids.

CP3 stays. He has no where to go. Knicks and Lakers are the only places he could go to upgrade, and they both would require sign and trades. Then there is always Utah. The Jazz would actually be a better spot for him than the a Clips, and we have the cap space to do it too. But that probably isn't happening.

So CP3 stays. He won't take a pay cut, and the Clips will just have to sell him on trading Bledsoe for more help down low.

So he stays in LA. Is there any chance the Jazz could land Cliff?

Bill Simmons @BillSimmons about 1 hour ago
PS: Nobody is more excited about my last tweet than @Mark Cuban and @Dirk Nowitzki ... Because they know CP3 is in play now. And wants a real coach.

I would not be surprised at all to see Paul and Howard in new uniforms next year. Paul to Dallas and Howard to Houston?

Would Dallas or Houston have the cap space to sign both?

No idea. I doubt they go to the same team though. I fully expect Dallas and Houston to attempt to upgrade this offseason. I see them both being better next year. Same with GSTankers and Portland. The west is gearing right back up and Utah better step up their damn game if the want to compete.

If Houston gives CP3 15 mil/year, they will be about 5 mil under the cap....so yeah, they can still sign Howard in that situation (i think that's how it works). This is assuming they don't exercise their team option on anyone except Parsons.

There are 4 realistic suitors for cp3. Houston, Dallas, Clippers, or New York (this one would be the hardest to work out). It's hard to imagine a Harden/Paul backcourt working out though....they both need the ball.

RT @Youngbr2002: @ESPNSteinLine Could Rockets get Chris Paul and Dwight? (NO. THEY'D HAVE TO SHED ONE CONTRACT JUST TO OFFER DWIGHT MAX)

If Houston didn't spend that dumb money on Lin they could get Dwight.

Jazz need a pg, Jazz have cap space.

What if the Rockets offered Jazz Lin, the Rockets 1st next year, and Jazz's choice of Robinson, Jones, or Monti for a 2nd round pick, or as part of a sign and trade?

Its helping the Rockets to get Howard, but its helping the jazz too.
