Following potential 2013 draftees

I think I'm warming up to picking Schroeder at 14, but I hate not knowing more about him. I haven't seen a full game of him. Its hard to tell with foreigners.

Either way, I think we can get a really good player at 14. There is someone available after 14 every year that turns out to be pretty good. Jazz just have to find him. I have faith in the Jazz drafting lately. I think Ill accept whatever they pick when it happens.

I have nothing of importance to say, other than draft either Burke, McCollum, or Schröder.

Please KOL, for the love of God, address our PG issue via the draft.

Please.

I've seen his highlights from that game. Like Thee is saying, I would like to see him in a different setting.

He looks alright, but nothing he does jumps off the screen.

After watching the Spurs-Warriors game, I'm feeling better about where we're headed.

Schroe / Burks / Hayward / Kanter / Favors is a balanced group. All three perimeter players can shoot and get to the rim. Kanter can play inside or hit from 18 feet. Favors is the interior defender and clean-up guy.

Add Adams or Withey off the bench, and we're in business. Keep Demarre Carroll and get someone in the 2nd round like GR2, Hardaway Jr., Livio Jean-Charles, or Adonis Thomas. Keep Jeremy Evans for the fear factor.

So you'd rather see him in a German league game against semi-pros'?

Let's get real here. Unless the Nike Hoop Summit exists, there is no way you're EVER gonna see him against legit NBA talent BEFORE the Draft. The Hoop Summit is the best gauge you're ever gonna get for a European player.

Unless you're just dreaming, in which case, I forgive you.

Look at the way he handled the traps towards the end of the game. Plus, he's German, which means he'll pay attention to detail.

Sounds good. Although I'm still unsure which two I like best out of Shroe, Goodwin, Withey, Adams.
I guess pick one at 14 and see who's left at 21.

That French guy Livio Jean-Charles rebounded pretty well at Nike Hoop Summit, but that's a sample of 1. Plus, he doesn't really have SF skills, though he's listed as a combo forward. Maybe we keep DeMarre Carroll and tell him to do that.

If BPA in the draft is a SF then fine. But I love Carroll at SF. He's already on the team AND cheap. Plus Marvin's here another year anyway AND WILL GET PT. So if talent at SF is equal with talent at another position... be happy with Carroll. The guy's underrated.

In this draft I'm more intrigued by a couple guards and maybe a backup big.

1) Demarre Carroll is an unrestricted free agent. And one that might specifically avoid signing here (I'm speculating). Good front offices aren't naive that he can play either.
2) If a player can guard the perimeter and hit open perimeter shots, they can be a perimeter player. LJC can almost certainly guard the perimeter, and there's reason to believe that the shooting will be there too. Bear in mind that LJC is still a teenager and has some perimeter skills while DMC has been gradually learning them and is already 26 (he was a PF). In my mind, making the comparison that LJC is DMC with more talent, potential, and upside is not a stretch in the slightest.

Well it worked for Kanter now, didn't it?
No one has ever looked better in this game then Kanter and Dirk. Dirk is a future HOF player, and Kanter has shown a glimpse of what he could be in the nba, which is a top 5-10 big in the nba, and Allstar games aren't exactly the setting for a big to thrive, and they still dominated. Schroeder wasn't the only guard or wing to look very good in that game. If a big shines you have something if a perimeter player does it, it's nothing to write home about.

14 days to draft lottery.

Jazz have a .982 chance of drafting 14 for you guys who look at the cup half empty.

For the glass half-full crowd the Jazz have a .018 chance of moving up!

In 1993 the Magic won the lottery with just 1.5% chance to win.

In 2008 the Chicago Bulls won the lottery with just 1.7% chance.

In 1999 the Charlotte Hornets, who despite having the best record among all non-playoff teams in the league that season only a 0.7% chance (7/1000 odds) of obtaining it, somehow won the third pick in the 1999 NBA Draft.

What are ya'll doing to increase Jazz Luck and/or Karma?
