Following potential 2013 draftees

14 days to draft lottery.

Jazz have a .982 chance of drafting 14 for you guys who look at the cup half empty.

For the glass half-full crowd the Jazz have a .018 chance of moving up!

In 1993 the Magic won the lottery with just 1.5% chance to win.

In 2008 the Chicago Bulls won the lottery with just 1.7% chance.

In 1999 the Charlotte Hornets, who despite having the best record among all non-playoff teams in the league that season only a 0.7% chance (7/1000 odds) of obtaining it, somehow won the third pick in the 1999 NBA Draft.

What are ya'll doing to increase Jazz Luck and/or Karma?

Save the Karma for next years draft.

I don't know if this has been posted or not. If it has, too bad.

No way. Being a Jazz fan means I have unrealistic and irrepressible hope. Jazz are going to get a top 3 pick this year and next.

And when they do this year, they need to take Porter, McLemore or Shabazz, because champions are made with elite wing scorers and competent bigs. Jazz need the scorer.

There are huge question if any of those players are elite.

Combine invites starting to go out it looks. RT @Jkarnes1: Congratulations to @NateWolters on being invited to the 2013 NBA Draft Combine!

That is for the official NBA draft Combine in Chicago May 15-19. That is ahead of the lottery. I thought that in years past it was held after the lottery because the interview process. Maybe the NBA teams got tired of agents holding their players out of work-outs, measurements and/or interviews based on possible draft order?

Good news is that it will give us something else to talk about startin in just 8 days!

Ugh this draft is awful.

Chad Ford @chadfordinsider about 25 minutes ago

FYI @AnthonyBennett will have surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff-left shoulder w Dr. Altchek

Agent Jeff Schwartz confirms Bennett will be out up to 4 months. No draft workouts or summer league for Bennett

Bennett will have surgery on Wed per Schwartz. Wanted to have surgery now to make sure he's available for training camp.

Three players in our Top 10 - Nerlens Noel, Alex Len & Bennett -- now out with injuries for entire draft workout process & summer league.

I'm glad the Jazz have no chance of being in the 4-10 spot. Somebody is going to have to role the dice on one of these injured players.

Don't think Bennett's injury affects us much unless we are unbelievably lucky in the lottery. In any case, I don't think a rotator cuff will influence his draft position. Len could slip though.

I believe Karasev is NBA-ready. If we somehow get Teague and draft Karasev and Schroeder we will have a very all-around team.

I don't know.. I'm concerned he's a bit 1 dimensional though.

Take Klay Thompson. He's a shooter as well. But he can also put the ball on the floor and finish at the rim. He can dunk it, he can reverse layup it. He's also athletic enough to defend. I don't know if Karasev will be able to defend the likes of LeBron & Carmelo (that's what he'll be asked to do as a SF in this league).

I'm not 100% sold he can stay in this league. He screams Kyle Korver to me.

And Korver is a starter on a playoff team and one of the best 3 points shooters in the NBA. Thats a pretty good guy to get out of this draft considering. Plus watching Karasev play he is a really good passer. That right there makes him more than one demential

Drafting Korver at 21 would be a steal, and I think he has a better floor game then Korver.

He is not just a shooter. He is an good passer and gets to the foul line as well. He is just 19 years old but has the experience. Defensively, his wingspan is not bad but he needs to gain strength and he probably will. He won't be lockdown defensive player but he won't be liability too. Also you can change his place with Hayward on some matchups.

Though, I admit that saying he is NBA-ready is an exaggeration.

I don't know ... I'd prefer an athletic wing who can defend and a finisher at the rim, over a shooter/passer (which we already have in Hayward). Our defense is so porous right now we could really use a lengthy defender.

So given the choice I'd go for Adetobunko over Karasev.

The reason I don't want Adetokunbo is he will take 2 years in Europe and at least a year on NBA to be productive. With Karasev though he comes to NBA and spends a year to get used.

Yeah I do get that, but with the #21 it's "home run" time IMO..
