David Locke or someone like him should have a sitdown interview with Greg Miller about this. No sugarcoating what is the truth.
To be fair it was Greg that gave the okay to re-sign CJ, his dad was still alive but in poor health so his dad was letting Greg "run the show" so to speak.Besides, What did Larry do with his 'enthusiasm'? Re-sign AK to a ridiculous contract and had the team re-sign CJ even though he was inconsistent, all because he had a 'feeling'.

Jazz fans should be thrilled that Greg Miller doesn't seem that engaged. He could never pull off being the "hands on" type of owner his father was. All I want from Greg and the Miller family is continue to financially improve the orginization. Doing things like refurbishing team locker rooms, etc. are the type of things Greg should be concerned with, and he's done just that. Another area is being willing to open up the pocket book when Lindsay/O'Conner tell him "we need this guy".
Lindsay and O'Conner are in place for a reason. Greg doesn't need to be as "engaged" as some tend to think.
Agree with Jazzman12 and Ellipse. Greg isn't a big basketball fan so he lets others run the team. Larry H. WAS a fanatic - like the rest of us - so he was fully vested in the Jazz. And that almost got him into trouble a few times (the near firings of Sloan). I think the players respected Larry's passion, just like other owners who truly love their franchises (Cuban, Benson w/ the Saints, etc.). Greg and Gayle went out and got Lindsey, who was a highly-regarded assistant, a year or two before the Jazz really needed to think about a new GM. Who knows if Dennis will be a good GM. But at least they have a man who knows basketball, who was supposedly an innovator in terms of his use of advanced stats. I often criticize Greg, but he's done well to stay out of the way. It will be interesting to see if the checkbook gets opened again over the course of the next two years if/when the cap space of the young Jazz can be used to acquire good vets.
