Following potential 2013 draftees

I like Adams. He has a great personality and he's funny as hell. Wouldn't be surprised if Dallas likes him as well.

He also has that mean streak about him, you know what I mean? That I don't care about nobody being stronger than me, Imma bring it.

This is awesome if true... Schroeder would likely fall to us if Dallas falls in love with Adams.

I think Adams is really intriguing. To me we're only scratching the surface of what he's capable of. He's much more athletic than we realized. He's a solid 7 footer who's not shy of contacts. He's got that nice stroke going already (he's one of the better shooters at the Combine). He has legit NBA body & size.

I think he's got much more potential than people realize, and I think Dallas would have to take a long hard look if he's still there at #13.

He just screams LEGIT to me.

Like I said earlier, Schroeder seems more and more likely to land on the Jazz. If the Jazz don't take him at 14 (and they have a chance to) then ima gonna burn the ESA down!

I also like how heady & smart Adams seems to be (he came across that way on the Combine interview). The way he dealt with that question re his family wanting him to declare early & get the money. He's not shy about it - "Yeah bro, so what?!". He doesn't seem "soft" mentally.

He just seems to be a smart player who's gonna "get it" at the next level. Do the little things right, run the floor, get the rebounds, hits the 12 foot jumper.

I remember our conversation about him a couple weeks ago haha

Following the combine he is not as much of a project as I thought he would be. I knew he had plenty of potential and a good personality. Just didn't think he would fit on the jazz a few weeks ago. Now im all for drafting him.

Or having him go before us to allow schroder to fall to us.

That's more of what I was getting at.

And to be honest I think it's win/win. Dallas get a defensive big man, who is a legit 7 footer, can hit the 12 footer consistently. Adams can be a future Ibaka/Marc Gasol. They can bring back Collison - he's not flashy, but he can be their Conley in a couple of years.

We get Schroeder.

Potentially, he's Bogut only a bit more physical.

Sounds ok but if Toronto gets the 14 pick then it would suck. I really don't know why the Jazz would have to give up both picks if they are taking on the bad contract. OKC should cough up a draft pick for either Toronto or the Jazz if they are giving two away.

I was thinking on the fly. Really, all I wanted is the 1&3 picks. Lemme dream guys.

Orangelloder.

Right now it really looks like the stars are aligning for us to land Schroder.

Yeah this is looking pretty good actually. The emergence of Gobert, Adams and Schroeder should ensure we get a solid potential starter in this league.

I'm starting to come around to the fact that if Dallas takes Schroeder - why not Adams?

He's a great third big if we do decide to tank. Play Favors & Kanter together. Adams comes off the bench providing solid defense & occasional jumper if required. He won't be asked to do much more than that to start off with. The more I look at it, I think BPA at #14 will be Schroeder & Adams.

Either one I won't be unhappy with right now.

Yes.. but the fact that they're interviewing him that has to be a good sign. Dallas is picking #13, Adams was projected outside of #20 less than a month ago.

Maybe. Adams had a good combine, so they could be interested. Teams are allowed 18 interviews though. So if I were a GM, I would interview as many guys as possible so other teams wouldn't know which players I was really interested in or in case I had an opportunity to move up or down in the draft. They probably also interviewed Schroeder.

Thats because they are smart. Adams will be one of the top 5 players from this draft. NO doubt.

Yeah I tend to agree. He's raw right now but he has the potentially to surprise, aka Serge Ibaka. Obviously he's not as athletic, but his length and smarts, as well as willingness to play hard is undeniable.

A legit 7 footer, who is smart and can block shots, and can shoot jumpers is so expensive in FA's. If I were Dallas, I'd take him to anchor my team for the next 7 years.
