Following potential 2013 draftees

That was in response to Larkin/Saric.

Thanks for thinking that I'm an idiot. What I was asking is what have you been hearing in relation to the Jazz as compared to the Larkin at 14 choice by DX.

The reason I son't like Larkin is that there doesn't seem to much hope that he will be much more than an average NBA player. Schroe at least has enough there that if he hit his ceiling then he would be a force in the league.

I'd be very surprised if they're contractually legally binding.. but rather political suicide for not executing on the promise (with agents, other teams.. etc.).

I'm sure there must be better reasons than I've thought of... so I'm going to find out.

Boy, I tell ya.. you keep surprising me with these wisdom quotes.

If the Jazz want Larkin they have to take him at #14. It's funny cause as someone mentioned earlier the Bucks could have promised Larkin at #15 to tempt someone to draft him before that i.e. the Jazz...

I think it's a good sign if the Jazz pick Larkin. Maybe they know next year's squad will thrive more in the pick and roll and we won't have to watch so many post ups.

I knew what you meant. I dodged.

Other notes from latest DX mock.

Len is up to 4
Olynk back in lottery #12 to Thunder
Adams shoots up to #10 Potland
Zeller falls to #11
fist pg taken is Burke at #7 to Sac.
Gianias falls to Thunder at 29
Wolters goes to Potland #40
Kybongo #51 to Magic ??

AB_PG is looking like a genius right now.

I believe I called that. I think he's got more upside than Zeller, Olynyk and Gobert.

The bigs going 10 - 12 doesn't surprise me (Adams, Zeller, Olynyk). That's about where they should go. I'd hate to see Adams in Portland. DX has Dieng going #20, so that's quite a drop for him relative to the others. Also Gobert at #16 seems a little low.

I'm not high on Larkin. I thought he was basically on par with Pressey and Wolters, but what do I know. I would take Schroeder over Larkin due to his length, defense and relative upside for being younger. Larkin reminds me of Damon Stoudamire and maybe a bit of JJ Barea. Not a terribly compelling starter PG or lottery pick in general, imo. Larkin doesn't have enough upside to make taking Schroeder a relative risk.

I'd also look at a couple of SGs like Rice Jr. and KCP if the draft really shakes out like that.

Note: Tim Hardaway is in the 1st round (#25) in this mock. I kinda called that.

Boy, I tell ya... if Larkin is a few inches taller, he'd be perfect for our crew...
