Weezur, thanks for pointing out that Horton was there. He has some good quotes from Perrin.
Austin Horton @austinhorton
I asked Walt Perrin what the number one need is in the draft. Perrin then noted the team has only 5 players under contract for this season.
Perrin also explained this staff being rich with talent, short on parity, and lacking of star power.
Also:
I didn't see Jerry Sloan there, but that doesn't mean he wasn't. Saw Phil Johnson there though
Phil Johnson?
LOL.. wonder what Ty makes of all this... do they really need him there?
Do they really need Ty there?
No. No they do not.
Some notes on the players working out today (mostly on Shane Larkin so far)
Steve Luhm @sluhm 19m
PG Shane Larkin highest-rated prospect to work out for the Jazz so far. Polished. Well-spoken. Says he'll be good in community.
Huh? Since when is Larkin higher rated than Cody Zeller?
^But as much as I like him, there is no way he is better than Zeller.
They're both backup material anyway.. so it is a moot point.
Larkin isn't backup material and neither is Zeller, on this team Zeller would be though.
I think they're both backup material for a contending team...

Shane Larkin is good, I have been trying to tell you guys this.
on offense, but what about his defense?
This guy isn't the answer for our starting PG. Drafting him at 14 is a huge mistake.
Who else came in for the workout?
Why is there no info on these guys?
