Official Jazz workouts thread

Mike Sorensen ‏@sorny8
Impressed with point guard Shane Larkin. Personable guy said more in two minutes than Alec Burks has said in two years. #Jazzworkout

Steve Luhm ‏@sluhm 34m
Jazz will work out 6 more players Thursday: Vander Blue, Jack Cooley, Solomon Hill, Pierre Jackson, Trevor Mbakwe and Glen Rice Jr.

Edit- Sorry hotKKK, you posted this and I didn't see it. My bad bro...
I'll just post this one then.

David Locke ‏@Lockedonsports 59m
Love that Derrick Favors, Alec Burks, Kevin Murphy and Jerel McNeal were all at Zions Bank Practice Facility today working out

Fun guy, great interview. If we draft him @14 we aren't looking for the right things....

Wait so you believe you know so much that if the Jazz draft Larkin at 14 it's because he's a nice guy?

Are you ****ing kidding me?

No, but comments like these could easily mislead the average fan:

I really don't like Larkin in the nba.

Complete liability on defense. Won't ever be able to finish in the paint on offense. Could struggle with the passes with his lack of size too. The nba is getting bigger not smaller. Guys like rondo, Westbrook, drose, etc will have open layup after open layup.

At 21, you're hoping for bench/rotational players. In that sense, Larkin is great and so is Olynk.
If we draft either of them at 14 though, then we're ****ed.

This has almost nothing to do with size and a lot to do with the fact that perimeter defense isn't allowed. If they draft Larkin, I'll root for him although I agree based on MY knowledge (which is admittedly limited) he wouldn't be my pick at 14.

Actually size is a big factor. Guys will go over him or around him. He doesn't have the reach to contain them out on the floor.

Not to mention Westbrook backing down on him ever possessions down the floor.

The call from the coach would simply be a capital "L".

Did anyone read, see or hear anything about Tony Mitchell?

Maybe Larkin stole the show but there were 5 other players there.

Also I was super happy to hear that there were other Jazz players there today. Go Favors.

Pierre Jackson, Vander Blue....and Silva on Friday. Jazz will have worked out every possible 2nd round pg before the draft. Ha ha, They'll probably end up drafting a sf with pick 46.

Did anyone catch the Dennis Lindsey interview on 1320?
