Following potential 2013 draftees

here ismy recent plan

trade picks with okc 14 and 21 for 12, 29 and 32

trade 12 and a future 1st (not 2014) to minny for 9

take Marion for the 13th add 46 and a future 2 if needed.

draft McCollum at 9
Giannis or gobert at 13 (stash pick)
wolters at 29
ledo or Goodwin at 32.

take Thomas Robinson off Houston's hands. bring tomic over with a front loaded 3 year contract. 8 mill, 6 mill, 6 mill

McCollum, wolters
burks, Ledo
Hayward, Marion, Carroll
favors, Robinson, Williams, Evans
kanter, tomic, some cheap scrub like Aldrich

next year suck and get Jabari Parker (yes I believe in luck)

McCollum, wolters
Hayward, burks, Ledo
Parker, giannis, Carroll
favors, Robinson
kanter, tomic

I do like that team. Potential contender in 4 years.

Getting to that point is a bit dodgy though......

sucker jordan into doing a bad trade for the 4th pick and draft a really good player.

I would like to see a big move to make up for the lousy management of the team the last two years. Maybe the Jazz actually pull a rabbit out the hat and do something smart with the cap space, and not go out on a vet shopping spree.

Every team needs a guy with hair like this. Admit it, it's intimidating. .....Or at least distracting.

14 is a reach
21 is a hail mary
46 deserves better

21 isn't a hail mary for Schroeder. He's a legit prospect. He was everyone's darling for #14 20 minutes ago. If you look at the teams he's working out for, he sure thinks he's going mid first round.

that's what only having 1 good workout can do for you. If a prospect has a ****ty workout in the midst of brilliant ones, no one bats an eye, but when there is really only one good one, and you're a prospect with limited tape, people are going to question whether or not it's really there, or if you're ready.

The part about the tape is definately made up by you. In the German BBL its mandatory to have at least 2 cameras recording the game. I would be surprised if interested teams wouldn't have it.
Teams have 32 League Games from this year, where he stood on the court over 800 min, or 25 mpg. Add to that 30 games from last year in which he averaged 8 mins. Additionally there is 3rd league footage of him from this and last year, where he avg'd 32.5 min in 31 games. I think that's plenty of footage to see development, strengths and weaknesses.

Regarding the workouts, I think scouts are well aware that he's first time away from home for that long to play ball. Coming into Hoop Summit I don't think he planned to declare this summer already for the draft. There's plenty of interviews where he states his plan to get drafted in 2014. But he took advantage of the situation and got scouts interested, who subsequently have probably watched every footage they could get about him.
But it changed the scenery for him. When the expectations rose after the Hoop Summit he definately had a different situation. When people speculate about you as being the most talented point guard in a draft and lottery pick that creates pressure. I wouldn't rule out that impacted his showings. The first Rockets workout was the beginning of his workout tour, like his dress rehearsal. He failed it reportedly. But if the Rockets have a real plan to get a draftpick why not a second showing? I wouldn't read too much into that except that the rockets seem very interested.
I'd be surprised if he fall that far given his potential. Player with higher uncertainty about their future have been drafted way higher. And NBA personal really likes dreaming. Compare it to Melo. Every fall there's like 15 articles how Melo got the perfect teammate over night who's unselfish and developed passing skills. Comes playoff time, Melo turns into a giant black hole. Every year. I'd be really surprised if Dennis is available at 20.
