Following potential 2013 draftees

I think you're making that up....

What does this have to do with him being tough? What it shows, mostly, is him making a lot of 3's .. of which he shot 36% from the college line against college defenders....

I don't currently have a preference regarding who we should target with pick #21. Ideally, I'd be looking for a one-dimensional player who has an elite, NBA-ready talent in one facet of his game. Something like shooting. Rebounding. Defending. Passing. Athleticism.

Lots of times, one-dimensional players are passed up, and they fall into the 20s only to let them explode on some random team. Happens every year.

We don't have to settle for that at 21 .. but it's an astute observation. So often, you just need to call on a guy to do one thing better than anyone on the court.. have them practice that, own it.. and you can depend on it.

I'd put Tim Hardaway Jr. about on par with Allen Crabbe in the late 1st. I don't buy this 'not mentally tough' stuff. He went out every night and put up numbers in the Big 10.

Chris Singleton got a rare 10/10 defensive rating on nbadraft.net and other sites have been raving about his defense. He will be out of the league in a couple years most likely because his defense so far has just been average and his offense still sucks.

One-dimensional players who have one elite talent are just as likely to bust.

No.. it's just that Singleton isn't very good. I called that one, too.

I would blame that on being drafted by one of the most inept teams, and being coached by one of the most inept of staffs in the NBA.

I am of the opinion that Singleton could have been serviceable, if he went to a team like Indiana, or San Antonio.

EDIT: Also, people gave too much credit to Singleton for the Seminoles' defense, when it was really their system that deserved most of the credit.

#21 is a great place to pick up a back-up big or wing shooter in this draft.

On the PG front, you're basically looking at Wolters unless Schroeder makes an unexpected drop.

But yeah. Gimme an elite rebounder. A shooter. A defender. What this Finals matchup is telling me is that you gotta have depth, and have role players to break the other teams back, when they aren't being guarded. Miami will never stand a chance when you have people like Leonard hounding >10 rebounds, and Neal and Green dropping like 14 threes or wtv.

McCollum workout is tomorrow. If he does well, maybe we'll pull the trigger and move up in the draft.

Our team seems to like size. McCollum seems like a "Jazz-player".

Still, I think if we move up, we might as well shoot for Burke. But i won't be upset with McCollum in any sense. Dude is a great scorer.

If we're trading 14 + 21, that might get us to 9 or 10, but I doubt that gets us in Burke's range, unless he somehow slips below McCollum and/or MCW in the workout process.

If we're trading a player + a pick, then maybe...
