I'm liking Karasev. Great shooter, high bball IQ, can play SG or SF. At 14 he's a good pick. I'd take him over Burke. Sorry, to me he's at best Jameer Nelson. True, we need a PG but I'm all for tanking this year and getting that next year rather than spending that pick on and avg to below avg PG.
i would be good with karasev at 14. i still don't like burke unless it is at 21. i think burke is better than larkin.
I don't see him sliding even to #9. I would love it, of course, because we could make a play for 9, or would likely see CJ or MCW there at 14... though none of that is happening. So...
Those things have NOTHING to do with potentialsmall stationary shot no left hand or midrange game can't finish.
Nothing to do with draftees, except that 2 or 3 of them will get a chance to wear one of these in 15 days. NBA just released the hat design for the 2013 draft.

Like the green & gold snap back, not keen on the oversized lettering.
Agree with just about everything said in the last few pages. I'll just add I still have concerns about McCollum's ability to run an offense. I really think he'll be a good scorer, but will he just be another Mo/Harris as far as PG duties go?

Say what you will about the hats but the kids I work with like them. I guess we found the target audience.
The military kids here are all 90% Lebron Heat fans, sprinkled with a few Lakers and Bulls.
I try and show them videos about Favors, and Burks to give them some insight on our team.
They all find it VERY weird I would support this strange team "Who's on them again"?
Some other fun comments "Yall shouldn't gave up Deron Williams" me,"but we got back Favors and Kanter in return" "who"?
"Why you like the Jazz, when I go to da NBA I never be playin for them" "Utah sucks" "Hayward is pretty cool"

I've had this exact same conversation with about 20 adult life-long Jazz fans.

Any word on Jamal Franklin? Is he working out? If so, how is he doing? Where does he get drafted?
Chad Ford (1:24 PM)
Yes. He worked out for the Knicks and Nets. Heard he had a great workout in NY ... made his first 28 shots which is pretty special. He's been working a lot on that jumper. If he can convince teams he can shoot the basketball? He's going to move up. To me he's a smaller version of Kawhi Leonard.
Jamal Franklin could rise pretty soon now that he's starting workouts... If he can make those 3's, I wouldn't mind him at #21.
You should only talk about things you know about. How do those things not affect his potential. How does having quickness help if he's so weak he can't finish at the rim. How is he going to blow by his man if he has doesn't have a left hand. His pick'n roll play won't be as good if he can't shoot off the dribble. He's a second round pg at best in my opinion. Those things have NOTHING to do with potential
how about his excellent length, elite speed and quickness, hesitation and handle, and the fact that he's only 19
