What's new

CHEAPEST people you know

I worked with another millionaire who did the most absurd stuff. Great, great guy, but absurd.

He didn't miss a day of December when he had to take it all off and still lose vacation hours because he couldn't bear paying for internet at home to do his finance stuff. So he came to work for free internet instead.

He bought a brand new car and parked it inside a garage for 14 years because he could still get some miles out of this old van with no reverse gear and leaked a quart of oil a day. Funny thing is when it finally died he crashed his brand new old car in a couple weeks.

He had a lot of money too, and that's why, but damn what a lot of effort picking up pennies.

Apparently it ran in the family too. Couple days after he died (at work), his grandson came to clean out his desk and said to the boss that he'd been trying to get on for years and now a spot was opened up. Damn cold.

Hey, old man. YOLO mother ****er.

My grandma's niece (in her ~40s) called her up inviting her to lunch, stating she had a buy-one-get-one-free coupon for a dish at a particular restaurant. So she went and the niece had her order that dish (which she didnt want)while she claimed the free one.

Lolololol

Breakfast today: 4 eggs and two slices of whole-wheat bread, cost $1.00 ($2.00 on the days I have fruit instead of bread)
Lunch: 1 cup oatmeal, two cups of water, cinnamon, about $.25
Afternoon snack: 1 cup oatmeal, two cups of water, red pepper, about $.25

So, by the time I get home to supper, I'll have spent $1.50 today on food. On days I go crazy, $2.50.

You cutting weight or something? You ever fatigued? I have always wanted to experiment more with just eating totally cheap, but I don't think I could whittle it down that much. Needs more calories unless you totally go to town with dinner. I'd probably go the lentils route if I was constructing an on the cheap meal plan. Monsoor Dal. 1 cup ~ 700 calories. Get like an 8 lb bag of that crap, go 2.5 cups a day, and mix in a few things here and there. Couldn't be that much.

Is there a fitness thread or a get in shape thread? I wouldn't mind going over diet plans with other members. I've been cutting back a lot with what I eat and I'm down to 12% body fat from 19%.
