Following potential 2013 draftees

Gyp has some wisdom, no doubt. With a weak darft, I think we all need to temper our expectations. Jazz may not get a starter out of this. What they may end up with is a couple of guys at the back end of the rotation. Perhaps we get a replacement for Watson and a player to take Kanter's old role (4th big). I'm ok with that. Jazz could fill in with a PG on a 1-year deal, bring back Tinsley and sign a 3rd big on a vet-minimum deal. Utah will make their major moves at the deadline with their cap space.

I believe he got banned for the tenth (or so) time, IIRC.

Even I'm having trouble keeping track, which is sad since it's probably like one of my duties, but I believe the deal with Gyp/KOC/Scerpio/I'm sure I forgot 20 more is that he logged on with like two alts. So he got banned and I'm not sure if he's asked to come back. If he has I think Jason gets to pull the trigger on that one.

People continue to ignore Burke's wingspan.

Personally, I think his floor is DJ Augustin, but with much better defense. If we could get 14/6/3 out of our PG with good percentages and defense, then I don't think we have really busted. Of course, DJ's slow-start and brutal defense kept him out of the Pacers rotation all season long-- don't see Burke ever having that problem,

People are also ignoring his mental side to the game. Of the PG's in this draft, he is BY FAR the best leader. By far the floor general.

There are physical measurements, and then there is the mental side of the game...

I hope you're right. I have him as the biggest slider on draft night.

some wishful thinking but it could happen.

To Gyp's comment, I do think Burke can attack those elite PGs he mentioned, but Burke will have to use spacing, use screens and take advantage of the fact that he's a triple threat. He can pull up on a dime, put his shoulder down and drive and also make a home-run pass. Not every athletic PG can do all those things even if they have size and quickness. I do think Burke will be able to get low and get past his defender although he may need to use a change-of-pace move or shot fake to get a step. Burke is going to have to work hard and use hesitations, but he could ultimately be a top 10 PG. He's not a top-5 PG type.
