Colin Cowherd this morning - Foreign Players - Work Ethic

I think a more accurate statement is Foreign professional players are more likely to have an excellent work ethic. There are a number of exceptions. See: Tim Duncan, Danny Green, Gordon Hayward, Kobe, etc.

I agree the AAU enviroment does slant to pandering. Like the blowhard he is, Cowherd is he exaggerates it.

umm, Tim Duncan is *technically* and international player... US Virgin Islands. Kinda like how Steve Nash is an international player...

Wow. No Respect. You're totally looking at it from a very different angle than I. The statement shouldn't be that a teacher doesn't have that skill, so they shouldn't make that much money. It should be that we're paying people that much money for something as frivolous as entertainment, instead of paying quality teachers better. If we did pay our teachers a boat load of money, perhaps on a sliding scale based on year end reviews(peer, student, and supervisor) you'd have much better teachers.

... but if you're trolling, you totally got me. And I'll need to rep you.

I agree with you. I was trying to troll whoever brought it up. I agree 100% with you. There are so many things wrong with government which trickles down into the educational system. I feel bad for all the GREAT teachers out there who care, who are screwed by admin and bad teachers and most importantly BAD PARENTS.

So you feel bad for about 10% of teachers? The median salary for HS teachers is over $53,000/year, only $3,000 less than the median earnings of someone holding a Bachelor's degree in the US. That, coupled with the fact that most teacher's get multiple months off during the year, and I don't think that teachers are that underpaid. Aside from that, I don't think it's $$$ that keeps our education system from excelling. I wish they would do two things. 1- Require teachers to work in their field for at least 5 years before jumping into education. 2- Cap the number of years someone can work as a teacher (10 years maybe?). Most of the "Bad" teachers I had in school (both HS and College) had been there a LONG time, and were clearly burnt out. They end up just going through the motions. In most jobs, this gets you FIRED. Not necessarily for teachers. They get to pass the blame onto parents, rather than taking accountability for their own performance.

Work ethic has nothing to do with nationality it has to do with a person's drive and character. All the rest is just stereotyping a group of people. There are plenty Europeans with attitude problems and feelings of entitlement. Entitlement isn't an American invention.
Nope, but it is something specifically drilled into AAU players.

let the record show, schroder killed this game... made these american guards look terrible, all of them... Andrew Harrison was driving the ball to the rack well, but as far as the best PG on the court... it was Schroder by a landslide, this should not be understated.

watch Kasey Hill's body language worsen thru the game... he looks like a kid who didnt get candy at the checkoutline, when his parents just spent $500 on all **** for him. kasey hill looked like some kid who knew he was gonna be cut... not the quickest american PG since Iverson..

Schroder looks like he was shot out of a cannon, every time he touched the ball, in this game...

i really didnt like the way these kids fought thru this game...

Well but if you consider the International team had a week long mini camp behind them(Schröder btw was already pushed in the first round during the practice week, reached borderline lottery status after the (allstar) game) and the americans had reportedly no cohesion and pracitce together it should be considered. plus the US boys are a year younger than the internationals. And how much a year means, who better to ask than Shabazz Muhammad :D:o

^??

That's about the only thing all of us do know about Schroe....

what... that hes quick?

what about how he uses his quickness. efficiency in his movements, he appears to read the defense, choose a direction and go at it full force, mistakes happen

think Jazzfanz will appreciate it if he uses all his energy showing off his quicks... and has no legs in the 4th quarter (*cough* Steph Curry *cough*), Schroder can be trusted to handle the ball in crunchtime, this is the key for the Jazz, or is it 40% 3pt FG's thats the key for the jazz... i cant tell

now that being said... Austin Rivers, i believe graded very high in the area of high volume shots whilst staying efficient in his movements

yes i said Austin Rivers... and efficient... in the same sentence.... can you believe it?

6.4FGA's in 23MPG

37% fg's, 32% 3pt fg's, 54% fts
