Following potential 2013 draftees

McCollum will make the majority of his money as a professional basketball player. He needs an opportunity to thrive to maximize that opportunity. Utah has a starting spot open. Portland has Lillard and Matthews sandwiching him.

As for Paul Allen, there are plenty of people he can discuss other business opportunities with.
Thank you......

I don't believe so... this boy is smart.

If he play his cards right, he can get any $$$ he needs from Allen to start a venture. He'll only be 40 when he retires, that's how old PKM is, it's only just begun IMO.

Dude..

Thank you......

Dude..

Boy you guys are shortsighted... especially you PKM. I thought of all people you'd be able to see the opportunity...

Let's say McCollum makes $100 mil over his career..

Paul Allen is worth $15 billion overall...

Not sure what to make of this.. we're just discussing McCollum's decision...

As far as I know that falls squarely within the thread's title of "Following potential 2013 draftees..."

Erick Green is the value pick version of CJ McCollum. ACC Player of the Year and NCAA leading scorer from Virginia Tech.

I guess he's OK if you're drafting him as a Jamaal Crawford type player... but if you want him to play PG full time it might be a tough ask..

Bro.. calm down. I just wrote down what Givony said in the interview.

Listen to it yourself if you don't believe me.

idgaf who said it... you're guilty of perpetuating the lie

is Givony some sort of tough guy? who's he to judge toughness?

let me paint you a scenario

Givony and Schroder are navigating thru the Sahara Desert on camels, givony thinks its a good idea to bring up schroders toughness issue to get it out of the way asap

they stop to rest, Schroder notices hes low on water than takes givony's unbenounced

givony finally notices and asks "hey can i please have my water back dennis"?

dennis responds "givony, i think its you who has a toughness issue, i realized your deadweight without that water"

givony says ".....why?"

dennis says "well you said 'can' and 'please', as if you're asking for permission... even though your life is over without that water"

givony says "well.. may i have it?"

Schroder says "what are you going to do if i say no?"

givony doesnt respond (in deep thought) shaking and nervous he says "... Please??"

Schroder says "what are you going to do if i pour out all the water and kill us both, and we die here, with these stinking-*** camels"

Givony says " I dont want to die with camels! stop playing with me!"

Schroder says "ah so if you dont die with camels, you're ok? good... givony do you have any last words?"

Schroder takes off, with Givonys camel, laughing hysterically

Givony sensing that certain death is near, expends his energy sprinting down the camels and schroder

he screams "ill never question your toughness again!"

Schroeder pretends not to hear him

Givony beaten and distraught just watches schroder off into the horizon

Schroder has a change of heart shortly thereafter and goes back to get Givony, whos now dead..

Schroders now peturbed at the dead givony for wasting his time, and water...

he looks back at the corpse for a last time and notices Givony's skin is now dried out from the sun

"wow maybe he's tougher than I thought... skin looks like leather"

^^^

Hmmmm... so being tough means you steal someone else' water (in the desert, no less), run away, and left your comrade to die from dehydration in the hot sun???!!!???

If that's the case, I'm not sure I want to be tough...

Erick Green's role at Virginia Tech was virtually the same as McCollum's at Lehigh, and his stats are very similar notwithstanding the fact that he was in a tough conference. He has decent PG skills, which he'll have to continue to develop. I don't see the Jamal Crawford comp, tbh.

If the Jazz can't get McCollum in this draft, there appears to be enough parity between prospects like Schroeder and Green, that the Jazz can afford to take another player at #14 and take Schroeder or Green at #21.

Somehow I feel Dalamon should have played a role in this story.

PKM, Locke says some interesting things about Bazz on todays tipoff. It starts at 17:45 https://weareutahjazz.com/lockedonjazz/2013/06/19/tip-off-june-19-as-good-as-it-gets/

Really makes me Wonder if Bazz could fit with the others Youngs that the Jazz have. Do you think Bazz could grow to buy into a team concept. Locke makes the point that he had extremely bad numbers in every statistical catagory except for points and that he was "Incredibly selfish" and " he wants all the glory". Personally, I worry he turns into a more selfish Monta Ellis type player (High Usage, low Efficiency and maybe a locker room headache). At some point, does Bazz just figure out that he's kicking against the pricks and that team basketball is 100 times better than the me me me thing he has going on? I'm honestly curious to know your take on this. With our group of guys thus far, I think our best chance to win is if the players develop a team concept similar to the Spurs, which is a culture i think the Jazz can Replicate to some degree. At this point it is too early in the process of doing so to take a guy like Bazz. or atleast that is what i think.

I totally think he can be a team first guy and zero locker room problem. Neither of those are issues for me. I think he'll work hard, he'll play both ends (will surprise people with defense) and will score. If I was also certain he would lose his 'gotta score' tunnel vision and learn to make the nice pass, I'd take him #1. That's my knock on him..
