Weird Dreams

Taking a break from draft talk for something completely different. I had a nightmare - and not of the 3983 variety - that I took a job in Ogden. Unbelievable! St. George, I could possibly understand; Salt Lake or even Provo, perhaps...but I have no idea where the reference to Ogden came from. It was completely out of left field. Any one else had weird dreams lately? Well, at least the kind they can share on a family-friendly fan board?

I have a ton of weird *** dreams that I don't always remember until I run into some daily element that triggered them, it's always there.

No lie, I recently had a dream that I was at a reservoir and Trout allegedly died in a helicopter crash that was happening in dream time, but when it crashed every one of the other 12 members survived but he was nowhere to be found. People were laughing the next day "that ****er trout actually jumped from 200 feet". I can explain every detail down to the occupancy number, 200 feet... everything except why this ******* Trout was in a dream that woke me at 3:36 a.m. and kept me up the rest of my morning.

Oh, and the Ogden thing is probably me getting into your head + my resentment of all things Idaho. Ogden basically the same thing. Thanks for dreaming about me, bro.

I am Not kidding...... I had a dream last night that was the best ever. Srs.
Hated life when I woke up.

Usually when I haven't slept in a while or I stay awake until I'm way past tired and then nod off suddenly, I have strange dreams. Several years ago, I had a really bad cough. I'm not one to take prescription meds, but I finally went to the doctor after about 5 days of not being able to sleep. I was literally nodding off every few minutes and then waking right back up with a coughing fit. So the doctor gives me cough syrup with codeine. OH MY! I will NEVER, EVER have a dream to top that one! The next few nights I again took the syrup to help me sleep but didn't have any memorable dreams. Guess it was the combination of sleep deprivation and that initial shot of codeine that did the trick.

I had a nightmare a while ago about being stuck in a crocodile pit with a clown that wanted to kill me. When they get this weird I go to dreambible.com. It's pretty spot on.

I took some new, fairly untested/uncharted medicine for my liver maybe six months ago. Seriously, the medication had only been in use for weeks, and I was the first person my Dr. had ever heard of going on it. Long story short, it gave me THEE most vivid nightmares. Evil, awful, creepy dreams with ghosts, haunted ships, things coming out from under my bed and smothering me, etc. Not only were they visually horrifying, they were also loud. I would wake up screaming and reaching for the ceiling as I dreamed that I was thrown down a well and when I hit the bottom, it sounded like a mortar shell went off in my room. It honestly felt like my ears were bleeding. It was as if the medicine went into the deepest recesses of my subconscious and found my deepest and darkest fears. I had dreams about my dad that literally had me bawling for hours after waking up. On one occasion, my wife was @ work when I woke up at 2am -- I was too scared to go back to sleep and I had to sit in the family room with all the lights on for the next five hours.

I'm not kidding you, these were so beyond realistic that it was mortifying. I now know what those kids in all of the Nightmare on Elm Street felt like, because I would actually shudder with the thought of going to sleep. The pisser was that I didn't start having them until about a month into the meds, and once we figured out what was going on and stopped taking the medicine, the dreams kept on coming for another few weeks.

But they're over now??

Thank all the Gods that may or may not be, yes. Now a days, I seriously dream about fishing five nights a week. My two year old and I talk about them every morning. She claims to dream about it every night as well, but I have my doubts...

That's good parenting. Always doubt young innocent kids.

Used to work at this company that makes horse trailers, one night I had a dream that I was trapped inside one of the trailers and I was walking around trying to find away out but there was none. I woke up standing in the corner of my room.
Then I used to work at a company that cooked meats and I would mix the spices, one night I dreamed that I was pouring a bag of something. Woke up holding my pillow case...
