The Jazz should be looking to move either up or out of this draft. The top 6 look legit.. The rest look like future D-Leaguers
Winner. Why draft three scrubs if you can trade up and get one long term player?

because you want to play young/tank.
because you don't want vets instead of young new players.
Say No, to Noguiera.
He's a dead ringer for Hassan Whiteside.

He'll be a Varejao type. Tall, long, hyper-active, Brazilian blowout, etc.
He's the first thing that popped into my head too when I saw his scouting report on DX.
Is Whiteside in the league anymore? I don't think I've ever seen him play in the NBA.
In January 2012, Whiteside was assigned once again to the Reno Bighorns of the NBA D-League.[10] On February 4, Whiteside was recalled to the Kings for the second time.
On July 16, 2012, Whiteside was waived by the Sacramento Kings to clear space for Aaron Brooks.
On December 14, 2012, Whiteside was acquired by the Sioux Falls Skyforce. On January 4, 2013, Whiteside was traded to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in exchange for Damian Saunders. After the D-League season, he joined Amchit Club in Lebanon.

There is no question about Varejao's heart and motor. That has never been a question mark.
Whereas, the same cannot be said about Lucas. In fact, his "red flags" listed are question marks about his motor and heart.
I'd say this guy, if he actually sticks in the NBA, will be a Sammy Dalembert type.
Which.... Might actually be great in this draft. I really don't see many of the players drafted this year lasting very long in the NBA.
I don't think he has Varejao tpe attitude though. He's Hassan Whiteside inside and out, IMO.
Whiteside was a good prospect. He just got injured, missed his first season, then got buried in Sacto.
Bebe is actually 6'6" shaved, 7'0" with hair.
I can't believe how easily people give draft picks away and then you want to throw in Burks. There is no one in this draft worth 2 picks and a promising young player like Burks. When Burks was given a chance he performed well for the most part. He can play backup PG in a pinch and his shooting is improving (slowly). The best part of his game is getting to the foul line. It would be dumb to trade him now when his potential is low due to not playing him. The Jazz need to play him and evaluate if he is the future SG or not. The Jazz should keep their picks and draft either Ledo, Rice Jr., Bullock, Bazz, or Goodwin to compete against Burks and then make a decision on his future.
There is a difference between being smart and getting good players. Rather then hoping that you will get a good player in a upcoming draft. I'd much rather get a good player to learn and grow this year then to just suck and get a good player next year to do the same.
It's not like the Jazz are going to be good either way next year. So they should get the best player they can vs getting young crappy players just to fill up the roster.
