Following potential 2014 draftees

Alright, lets get this one going. I enjoyed my day off yesterday.

First question: Is Noah Vonleh expected to be in this draft, and can he play SF in a Josh Smith sorta way?

sf seems to be the biggest need.

wiggins (in our wettest dreams)
Parker (best fit)
vonleh
poythress
young
Robinson III
hezonja (don't know anything about him)
tj warren
Sam dekker
saric (if he can hit outside he will move up)

Parker had been injured for a while and was very much out of shape. He'll primarily be a 3 that can also play the 4.

I have just been talking about him so much lately that I forgot to include him. I agree with what Hant said.. except I will simply say it will be a game-by-game match up thing. I think he can play either position equally as well. Here's a bold early prediction. Parker to be all-American as a freshman (rarely ever happens) and will be ROY in the NBA.

OG already brought up Parker, but where is Vonleh? Or do you view him as a PF?

PF.

I think he's a PF.. I've watched him in about 40 games. I really don't see him playing a lot of minutes at SF.. a few, sure.

james young is some one I am watching. he has a sweet looking shot.

mods please sticky this 8-)

James Young can be a killer SG.... but too thin/weak to play SF, imo..

ok pkm need some feed back on those guys

Agree with your list other than to say Vonleh is a PF and Young is a SG.

Oh, and I can see the Paul Pierce to Parker comparison...but there's a better one out there.

First off, Parker is bigger than Pierce. He's 6'8 with like a 7'0 wingspan if I remember correctly. He's more like a Carmelo that will actually try on defense and pass the ball. Parker is a better talent than Pierce is/was. Also, take this for what it's worth, but apparently he held his own going 1-on-1 against KD at the KD Skills Challenge. I want Parker on this team bad...really bad. The NBA owes it to us to give us a Mormon superstar after the whole MJ thing.

that vonleh being a pf kind of burst my bubble. it is going to be kind of hard to get that impact 3 next year, unless we get a top 3 pick. Parker is #2 target wiggins being #1.

I want UK to have a monster year so all their players shoot up the draft board. actually undefeated would be nice.

watching vonleh video he reminds me of a young Kevin Garnett. I don't think he has the motor of Garnett though. Garnett started his nba career playing the 3

Wanna hear a shocker?

If I'm the Utah Jazz and I have the #1 pick...I don't take Wiggins.

Don't get me wrong, Wiggins is a great, great talent. Much more athletic than Parker....and that's it. I prefer players with a complete game and the ability to get it done, even when the refs aren't calling fouls.

So yeah, I'll go into more detail later, but as of right now, Parker is who I take #1 if I'm the Utah Jazz.

Parker on this team and we are legit in a couple years.

I'm on your page. The Jazz need to do everything to get this guy. It starts with having a "development" year where we can get around the 7th pick. It ends with possibly trading a member of the c5 to move up a few to snag him.
Parker might not have a 40" vertical, but he is going to be 250 lbs when he fills out. If you watch Melo and Pierce's game, they use their bulk and power to get nearly anywhere they want on the court. It's just as effective as having a killer first step.
