Personally, with things like the filter, I always look at a poster's past. If they have a history of it, I vote infraction. This has kind of become the norm for the mods. Most of the time, a first time offense gets a simple warning. Anything after that, it's an infraction. The board software keeps track of the infraction history for everybody. There have even been times when it was viewed as an accident (posted from a phone {small keyboard} and the letters were right next to each other). I think the mods as a whole have become more lenient and tolerant of things here. We each seem to have our hot buttons that really get to us or our pet peeves, but for the most part, this group has been together long enough that we all kind of view everything the same.
I think the majority of reported posts right now are coming from other posters and not the mods. There are times when that is reversed.
This was not the first time, or even the second for Cyrone. Maybe not even the third, but I can't remember off the top of my head and I'm too lazy to look it up. He absolutely knew it was at least running the risk of being reported.
