What's new

Jeremy Lin & Omer Asik Available

I saw someone on twitter mention the Hawks interested in a sign and trade involving josh smith for asik if Howard signs with Houston. If Atlanta is really interested in asik then I think that happens. Smith and Howard are good friends and Houston would want to move as in with a Howard deal.

It would think Lin & Asik would have to included to make the salaries match to Josh Smiths salary. But I could be wrong. Don't know the new CBA sign and trade rules.

I wouldn't be totally against this but the Jazz would have to let Millsap walk if they are bringing in Asik. I don't see why the Rockets would get rid of both of these guys because they have already made enough room for Howard. There is no way that CP3 is coming to Houston. CP3 publicly has said he is re-signing with the Clippers.

Another factor is the length of their contracts, I am too lazy to look but if they are too long then I would have no interest in bringing them in.

It would be fun to watch Dwight and Aşık together but Houston's plan was to acquire Dwight or Bynum and sit Aşık as a back-up since the last season. They still trusted Aşık and gave him a 25,1 million worth contract which shows he was to start if the Rockets fail to purchase any of those centers. And that actually happened and Aşık had his break-out season. This made his price move up and now it is more profitable to shop him when they have Dwight. They will need a solid PF.

Makes sense. It's been reported that Howard asked Houston management what they were going to do to bring in a third superstar. IMO, the Rockets would be better off with Howard and Harden and keeping guys like Asik and Lin. But Howard will get his way or he won't sign with them. Howard, Harden and Smith doesn't really scare me. Houston will be good, but those three won't win a championship.

You want to start Asik and Favors together?

Best defensive big man duo in the NBA but also one of the worst on offense.

Kanter would have to start. Asik or Favors would than start as the Center.

^^No, I was saying the Rockets looking to trade Lin and Asik in a deal for Josh Smith makes sense as Howard wants another superstar before he commits.

I think that makes a **** load of sense all the way around. I think Josh Smith next to Dwight would be better than Sap, but I think Sap as a second option works really well for all parties involved as well (I'd be as interested in flipping Asik as keeping him as he's definitely a + asset).

Asik eats marshmallows and s.h.i.t.s one Enes Kanter.

Don't let last year fool you. D12 will regain his form and be the most dominant defensive big man again next year if he is on Houston. Add that to Harden and Smith, and you got yourself a very good big 3. Smith being the weak link, which isnt really weak. They also have guys like Parsons and Terrance Jones.

If that big three forms, they will be title contenders.
