Actually I think he'll work quite well with Zeller.. both are tall and big. Al can roam the pain and Zeller can knock down those jumpers.

Yes, i'd like a cellar dweller to get a lot better, better chance for them to move out of top draft picks

Seeing as Malone has already agreed to mentor our young bigs, why don't we just give him a spot on the bench as well. Now THAT would be nice.
 
The Warriors also have a free agent forward in Carl Landry. He has received interest from the Warriors, Mavericks, Utah Jazz, Atlanta Hawks, Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Clippers, a source said.

Wow I didn't realize how efficient Landry was last year. He usually rebounded at a horrible rate but last year was good.

In 23 minutes he averaged

10 points
6 rebounds
shot 54%
81% from free throw line
2.8-3.4 per game

Pretty impressive. Worries me because it was a contract year. He will be 30 before the year starts. 1 1/2 years older than millsap but he will probably come a lot cheaper and won't demand to start.

If we can sign Landry to a 3-4 year deal. Last year will be a team option. Than I am all for it. I wouldn't give him a guaranteed 4 years though.

If he is interested in the Clippers all we have to do is offer him 4 Milllion a year and we will beat the clippers mini mid-level deal.
 
I'd be very happy with Carl Landry as a backup. Especially if we lose Sap which I think is expected. Come to think of it, it could be the perfect swap. We lose the "leader" in Sap and pass the team to the young guns while getting essentially a Sap-clone in Landry with it being known that he is coming in as a primary backup to Kanter/Favors.

This could be a perfect scenario for the Jazz if they land him.

Yeah it would be a good scenario.

But we still have Ty Corbin, as long as we have him I worry about where minutes are spread.
