I thought I'd save us time...

Why the hell are we helping out the warriors?
Why are we taking on all these garbage players?
Why are we dealing for late 1st rounders? I thought they sucked? They're worthless? So why are we trading for them? So we can forever have a team of mid/late first round picks?

Sorry, I think this move was terrible. We get back garbage. One serviceable player would have made this acceptable, but to take both of Biedrins and Jefferson... nuts. GS's front office should erect statues of KOC and Lindsey.

Brandon Rush isn't serviceable? He will be a nice player for us, think of him as Randy Foye ++++++++. We get a late first that will allow us to move up again, and we get to Tank and see the young guys. If we simply re-sign Tinsley and Carroll this team will be really fun to follow this year.

I'm not a huge Foye fan so anything that is Foye plus doesn't thrill me. Wouldn't you rather have had Klay Thompson or Harrison Barnes? For me it would have been Thompson, Barnes and Rush, in that order.

Hell no! This man is a damn genius.

He made Utah worse thereby increasing Utah's own 2014 pick. He acquired a 2014 first rounder, 2017 first rounder, a future (or more) 2nd rounder, guaranteed no new bigs or PGs to steal time from our young guys, got 2 players so bad that our wings will start over them and got three expring contracts worth 24 million. 24 million to throw at our youth next year. All this for a man (Murphy) that we did not want anyways.

All that on top of nailing the 2013 draft and getting Burke, Gobert and Neto. Lindsey is a damn genius. Genius!

May be that's all we can get for our cap space...

Uh the Jazz are not trying to win right now. It is a move for the future. Trey Burke this year, hopefully one of Wiggins/Parker/Randle next year. This was a great step in the rebuild. The days of being mediocre are over.

I'm just hearing the news so there's a lot I'm missing. From a basketball perspective this makes sense. Financially, however, isn't $24 million a hefty price to pay for a couple picks? I would rather parlay the salary savings from this year into keeping our nucleus in tact.

We're jerks that hold grudges, and want to give Mark Jackson enough rope to hang himself with

Former all stars aren't always garbage. But even if they are, try to look at them as assets.

We traded up this year to get something good, why not next year?

All of these guys are expiring contracts, right? If so, this is a pretty good deal IMO. I also like Rush. We'll see how this goes. I am going to say it is nice that Paul is also not coming back now. Win-Win-Win!

thats not how salary cap works......

we still have a boatload of money to throw at Hayward and Favors we could give them both max extension or match any contract they sign in FA if we so desire
