What's new

July 7th, Summer League Game 1: Utah vs. Miami

So far Gobert is the nice surprise you always look for. Gonna be a project, but there is obviously something there to work with.

Mahalbasic intrigued me the most so far. Love bigs that can create for others, and make the right pass. Seems to have a good feel for the game, nothing flashy, just solid basics.

Well, was more impressed with Stockton than Burke. Not a good sign. He does look a little slow of foot out there. Not any explosion from him.

Gobert looks ready to earn some backup minutes all ready. A good sign.

Burks looked great to me, as he did last summer league.

Evans just isn't assertive, but, having a decent game.

Gobert has great defensive awareness, and mobility. He has been ball-watching on a couple rebounds though-- classic inexperienced big stuff. I definitely think he has a future with Utah, if he grows into his frame

Jody Genessy @DJJazzyJody Point guard Raul Neto is setting near the end of the Jazz bench. He's not wearing a uniform but is cheering his American team on.

Burks done for day with ankle injury.

94 Rashid Mahalbasic's name is pronounced (RAHSH-idd MAH-hahl-BAHSH-ICH) in case u are curious

Smiled when Gobert timed and swatted that one ball into the ground but that's about it in the first half.

Burks played how he should play, don't think he really needs to be here.

Burke just looked unsure and lost really.

Evans is playing?

Burke just showed that he can do the alley-oop with Evans.

Is there anyone who can't throw an oop to evans.
Evans jumps high which makes it kinda easy

This Evans-Gobert frontcourt just flat out gets pushed around.. by a Miami Heat Summer League team.
