Mays, Roberts and Christmas

I realize they weren't playing against DWade, Lebron and Bosch but these three sure looked like they ought to earn an invitation to fall camp. Christmas did everything. I was impressed with Burk's rebound total.

I think it was Christmas that killed Luke Babbit in an NIT game the year Babbit was a first round NBA draft pick of the Blazers. Dude has some game.

Yeah... I agree. Bring these guys in.

Christmas looked good today stroking his jumper.
Mays banged around the inside and played with heart.
Roberts slashed around the court and made a couple plays here and there.

If anything, they should bring some positive energy to training camp.

One of the funniest parts was the post-game interview with Dionte. Commentator used the "Christmas in July" line. Dionte deadpanned, "I've heard that a few times before."

These guys are playing for their lives, of course they're going to outperform our rookies. Much more is at stake.
If any of these guys has the elite athleticsm and hieght for his position, then you make a move

Yeah but the Jazz need players to fill out the roster unless they sign Foye, Tinsley and Mo so if these guys light it up give them a shot.

Agree. I'd still like Tinsley on the roster. I think he can be a good resource for Trey. I don't want Foye. Bring in a FA and use Rush. Brandon could be a decent tradeable asset at the deadline.

Tinsley is almost a MUST to be resigned... with the youth movement on we need an elder statesman just for the sake of having someone that has been through the grind.

We can't really rely on Hayward at this point, being the eldest of the Core5, although I'm happy he's showing the leadership to be in Orlando with the team. Loving the initiative.

I agree and Tinsley wants to be here. He doesn't mind the mentor role.

I kind of shake my head about Tinsley. The guy was in the DLeague and the Jazz rescued him from the scrap heap. The reason he was in the DLeague? He was a bad dude and no one wanted him. He has been a good citizen here but to me why not let our tyros learn how to swim without any broken down war horse taking minutes away. The coaching staff ought to be enough of a mentor to Trey. I doubt he would agree to a one year deal at vets minimum but he might. This reminds me of Keith McBrick and Milt taking time from DWill.

Bring Christmas to camp for sure.
He has a very long wingspan. Good enough lateral quickness to guard SG's in the league. And has a jumper. He likes coming off screens and being a catch and shoot player.

Could be the next Wes Matthews. I like him a lot. I think he is more agile than Wes Matthews is too. Longer also.

Its obviously just 1 game but I think if we were to sign somebody I would sign him. Because we don't know how Rush will be by camp and who knows if Marvin can play in January. We need a cheap guy like Christmas.

The only downside is Boler coming up with horrible names.

See, I use Lindsey and KOC in my avatar and they reward me by facilitating the trade of Randy.
