Following potential 2014 draftees

Oww and I really like the comparison between Trey Burke and Mike Conley Jr. someone mentioned earlier. That's a pretty realistic ceiling. While Burkes 3pt shooting is better and he relies more on it, Conley is the better defender. But that's only small things.

It was me.

Thanks.

@Vermin - got a text from a UK beat writer that said Rashad Vaughn is also heading to Findlay. They are going to be unbeatable, it seems.

do the jazz package the picks up again in 2014? im cool with taking the picks where they lie

Dario Saric, i believe fits very well, say what you want about him, but his passing is being underrated. he Poythress and TJ Warren i believe are great picks for the jazz for SF, also CJ Fair

Mario Hezonja if he falls is worth trading both picks for, IMO. his BBIQ is very high, and his skill level is top notch, i have him rated over Gallinari and on par with Shabazz

Gary Harris is an interesting fit on the jazz also, hes got some Oladipo to his game and is bigger

i dont see Kasey Hill on anyones 2014 mock drafts anymore?

anyone know why?

i know the jazz wouldent draft him because of the vested interest in Burke but if he declares and falls to the teens that could be great value

I think this year is all about evaluating the starters and making a determination of who the keepers are and identifying the holes.
We have two first round picks and I don't think they're even thinking about packaging them or not yet.
After this year's evluation, we'll see aggressive moves to fill out the roster using the picks and $31MM in cap space in a monster FA.
Tons of options and assets.

I'm not sure why, but many think he's not going to come out after one year.. that he'll look to add strength and polish his game.. I dunno, don't really get that.

could the jazz (or any team) draft Isaiah Austin to play PF?

i think he fits here still

Austin/Favors
Austin/Kanter
Austin/Gobert

plus he can play some 5, i guess that would be playing small

I think he'd be getting pushed around a ton at the 5. I think he's a stretch 4 and a situational guy.

if the jazz draft at 14 and 21, DX has Willie Cauley-Stein at 15,

do you think the jazz would consider him, or do they have the center minutes planned for Kanter/Gobert/Favors

Mitch McGary i think is an interesting player like WCS for the jazz to consider

I'd just be patient and start projecting Jazz draft positions not before you have seen 20 reg season games. Meanwhile the Mock draft will be shifting as well. That's like searching the needle in a haystack right now with way too many unknowns. At this point evaluating the player most likely to enter the draft is the only halfly feasible evaluation one can do. Free agency isn't over. You have no clue how certain player come out of the offseason and eventually spark their teams.
But I have 1 question. I can't find a protection on the GSW draftpick. Is it unprotected? If yes the Jazz might get really lucky in case 2 or more of their injury prone players suffer season ending injuries early into the season.

I am very intrigued to see how WCS does this year.. just incredible potential.
I'd be looking for a PG and SF ideally... but bpa always works for me.

Its not like we're selecting a player, BTP. We're just speculating.. sheesh.

what about this player? is WCS better? and is he not going to declare this year? i dont see him on DX's mock

SF to me is where the low hanging fruit is in 2014, i also like the SG's...

No, we haven't discussed Christon yet.

I like Willie better than Kaleb.

I do think he comes out, for sure. Last I looked DX had him mocked at 15 and nbajoke.net had him at 5.

Depends who we can potentially get. If we can get Jabari out of it I'd definitely do it. Heck I'd throw in a future 1st rounder to get him as well.

I'd give both picks and a future 1st in a heart beat.
Arnst you supposed to be busy praying for the tank?
