What's new

You guys are not ready for da tank!!!!!

I want to go 14-27 for the first half of the season, 27-14 for the second half, barely miss the playoffs, and win the lottery

That would be sweet!
Best case scenario (other than winning the championship with the core 4? 5? 6?, the core whatever we are calling it now)

I'm loving the tank that the jazz are driving right now..... totally drinkin the kool aid.

Dennis lindsey has me believing that we will be contenders in as little as 2 years.

As long as the young guys get big minutes I will be fine. I became a Jazz fan when they sucked. I still loved going to games. I was just happy to have a pro team in SLC. I have been waiting two years for the total rebuild. The only people who will whine are the same fans who wave "we made the playoffs 21 years in a row" banner. The stay the course and make the playoffs. Jazz fans who want to compete for a championship, will be fine with losing as long as the young guys play and the y play hard.

Not looking forward to the "make the playoff crowd" throwing it everyone's face if the Jazz start off poorly. So I will tell them to #%$@& first.

Yep.
I feel like there are lot more fans that feel that way than management realizes.

I just want to love the jazz again like I loved them in the stock/Malone years and Deron/Booz years.... I believe that time has come!!!!!!!!!!!!

This team might remind us of the Jazz when they first moved to salt lake with Danny Schayes, John Duren, Jerry Eaves and James Trouble Hardy.

Call me a spoiled fan, whatever. I can't stand how we were lead on for Miller business reasons, and haven't boughten a single ticket for two years because of this nonsense.

Ahem.
Me too. I haven't boughten into the nonsense either.

I agree. Most fans are not ready for the tank. Fanz are only slightly less ready. I think it is a matter of scale. Most fans would love to see the young players and realize that the team is not going to win 50 games doing it. But I think some believe the Jazz will win close to 40 games. Ha!

I heard a talking head on the Jazz's radio station the other day asking if fans were prepared for 35 wins. Ha!

If the Jazz win 40 games or 35 games this season will have been a complete waste.

I have predicted 24 wins, and depending on what Jazz do for a pg that could be too ambitious.

Setting aside win total---I'm not sure we are prepared for HOW the team loses. In the past two seasons jazz have lost 35 games(14 in 11-12, 21 in 12-13) by 10 pts or more. Rookie pgs teams get blown out alot.

John Wall in Washington 36 loses by 10 or more in his rookie season.
In the lock-out shortened season Detroit with Knight (he didn't really start at pg) 21. Same year with Charlotte and Kemba 38 . Cleveland & Kyrie Irving 26.
Last season with Liliard at 26 .

Not only could the Jazz lose a lot more than we are accustomed to seeing, the losses could be worse than we are used to.

The biggest problem the board will have when it comes to the tank will be if the young starters really struggle. It would put a dampening spirit on the youth movement, especially if they aren't showing the promised we expect.

Whoever said earlier that the best case for Jazzfanz would be for the team to have a horrendous start then start showing the flashes of potential towards the final months of the season, is right. That would ensure a top 10 pick and would give the FO confidence in the young core.

If we were in the Eastern Conference I would actually give us a low chance of being a serious low seed contender, but we are in the West and will probably be 3-4 teams out of the 8th spot, which will sadly have a chance to be better than any non-playoff Eastern Conference team.

This is going to be a brutal season listening to all you bitchy whiny motther ****ers all year. Go kick rocks if you can't hang.

I can hang... I am a Chicago Cubs fan. I am used to bad teams. I also don't whine about rebuilding.
