What's new

Who are you??

I am 21.6 feet tall. Living in Turkey and studying English Language Teaching. Single(for way too long). Agnostic. I am drawing some stuff and trying to get better as an artist(or become one).

My hobbies are playing basketball(I could dunk before I got a chest operation), reading, biking and drinking.

How I read it... sign.u.up!

Okay, I'll play....

I'm 41. 5'10", should be 180lbs, but am over 200 now. Am working on that though...
I grew up in Salt Lake, and have been following the Jazz since I learned to play basketball when I was 10 or 11.
I loved sports growing up and used to work out, play tennis, play basketball, etc. but got more involved in music playing saxophone so that took precedence for a while.
I went to the Univ. of Utah, majored in communications, and got into the international big ad agency in Salt Lake. I then moved to San Francisco to be part of the Internet revolution during the late 90s. I've worked with several "leading edge" digital tech and media companies directly or by having them as clients--eBay, CNet, Intel, Adobe, etc.
I then left the industry for a couple of years and traveled the world doing human rights work and organizing press events after learning Falun Gong meditation/qigong. I've been all over Europe, to Russia, and to China (where I was deported after being part of a human rights appeal in Tiananmen Square), Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc.
I've since been back involved in the digital media/marketing industry, where I've been an entrepreneur.
I parlayed $50k into about $2 million and invested most of that into my current venture that is about ready to take off.
I'm still single, casually dating (no homo), but otherwise I'm more of an urban monk.

The Jazz are kind of an outlet while I'm taking a break from work. For whatever reason, the Jazz have stuck with me, although I love the game in general.

Scary. I'm with colton in that it's never happened to me.

So 2 times in 2 years in Honduras, 3 times in 30+ years in the US? Math is going to favor Honduras as the more dangerous location.

I read somewhere that Tegucigalpa is now considered to be the most dangerous city in the world.

I didn't experience the same things as Stoked on my mission (neighboring missions in Honduras). I never served in a really dangerous area. But I did have some pretty scary situations that I'm not sure how I got out off.
One of my favorite experiences was when I was "on" a bus. I put on in quotation marks because the only part of my body that was on the bus was one foot and one hand holding on for dear life. The rest of my body was hanging out of the door as we swerved in and out of traffic. It was freaking awesome.

When I was in El Lolo in comayaguela that was the norm. Talk about a rush. Also I spent have my time in the Olancho district in the east. You learned real quick where not to go. Especially at night.

Looks like I was wrong. According to this article: https://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013...uras-brazil-colombia-venezuela_n_3053727.html Tegucigalpa is #4. The northern Honduran city of San Pedro Sula gets the #1 spot.

It's pretty bawse that Honduras gets two cities in the top 5!

One of my best friends went on a missions trip (no Mormo) to El Salvador and he said there were murders every night right by where he was staying.

I'm not sure how this relates other than when I started typing this I thought he went to Honduras.

You're a moran sometimes.

My Brother in Law DID however go on a medical missions trip to Honduras awhile back, so we can share in that commonality if you would like.

Wow!!! Are you really working for PKM???

Is it as I had imagined???

Hey, if that's what it's like working for PKM, where do I apply? I'll load up the moving van this weekend and move to the STG!

Damn, 41? I really thought you were like 16/17 because you liked Archie Goodwin so much.

First time he made it rain I was like "ewww these bills are dirty on my skin." Now I just go with it.
