What do you think the Utah Jazz would have been named after they were relocated to Utah from New Orleans? Some teams change their name to form a new identity.

Pioneers or Buzz would be my guess. Buzz wasn't taken at the time as the ML baseball team was the Salt Lake Gulls (formerly the Salt Lake Angels). So ixnay on the ullsgay for the basketball team. Brine Flies or Sea Monkeys would have been my choice to acknowledge the major inhabitants of the Great Salt Lake.
