I agree Wiggins could do this. He might coast a bit and average 18 or 19 though. He can shoot. He has a good spot-up jumper, which he'll get plenty of looks for since he can blow by everyone with one or two dribbles. I don't think he plays with full effort normally. I think he's being conservative and coasting a bit. When the chips are down though, I expect him to go HAM (whatever that means).

Do you remember when the NY Times (iirc) write called him overrated and said he would get exposed in the upcoming exhibition game against a college team (Div ii or iii but whatevs)?

His team was expected to lose but he went and torched them for either 54 or 57.. crushed it when he was challenged.

How could Hantlers like this post. Sophomoric and pales in comparison to the idiocy of my little girl joke thread.
 
True story.. ONLY time I've heard Calipari get booed by fans was when about 50 of us were at Rupp pre-game and he said we should all stop acting like a bunch of nancies and accept Daniel like we do everyone else that's worn the jersey...

I know Pitino quite well.. and I lived two doors down from him at Harbourside Condominiums. One time.. once he had become the coach at Louisville, we were on the elevator after UK spanked UL and I said, "Nice try coach." (I had called him coach for many years)

He looked at me, no change in expression, and said, "Call me Rick."

I thought that was awesome... that he was a little pissed.

Being a one-and-done doesn't hurt the team's GPA (NCAA standards) so long as the player finishes out their school year. A lot of teams (UConn, for one) have gotten into trouble because the player, knowing they were going pro, hung up the classes and moved on.

Calipari is very frank with these kids that they MUST (with honor) agree to finish strong in the classroom, as to not hurt the team.

UK is the capital of one and dones... and Orton is the ONLY one, ever, to bail and make us take a hit to the GPA. Cal and fans were PISSED.
