Following potential 2014 draftees

Hack and nickkk can't stop arguing in the fantasy draft, and now we're actually talking about prospects in here? That's two threads ruined today.

Fantastic...let the catfight rage in the fantasy forum and let's get back to business here. If I want to see bikini pics, I can google to my eyes content.

Embiid is an insane shot blocker/athlete going to Kansas. Raw but holy hell tons of upside.
Walker WAS going to Florida being the knucklehead he is, didn't qualify. (he's the one that has lips tattooed all over his neck, idiot) EXtremely talented.. I'm just not sure he'll keep it together and the only reason he's not cracking my top 10.

Time to put you on the spot. Is Embiid a good enough prospect to draft BPA and worry about making room for him later? Let's assume Kanter and Favors improve modestly, but don't "breakout" as future all star material.

Upside is what gets GM's fired. For every player taken high because of his "upside," you have an equal number of busts that never reach their "potential." At this point, I'd probably say Exum is the riskiest pick in the top group (I'm not counting Walker). The others will sort themselves out as they get a full year of college experience.

Aaron Gordon has more bust potential.

Its a loaded question because I don't know where we're picking and whether he's BPA. But at face value, yes. Kanter with Embiid would make me feel okay with moving Favors. I think Embiid will be better.

Guess it depends on the performance of Kanter and Favors. I see wing as a bigger need. Will Embiid be a clear enough BPA over the others rated right around him? Really, it's ideal if players like Embiid and Cauley-Stein move up, especially if Utah is a bit lower than we hope (like in the 6-9 range). If bigs move up, wings will get pushed down to the Jazz.

Agreed. Thats why it was hard to answer the question.
I assumed I was being asked whether I have enough confidence in Embiid's upside to buy into the BPA.. generically speaking and the answer is yes.

Looking like it could be a helluva battle between Kansas and Kentucky for the national championship.

Haven't been here for about 100 pages I think.. what's new?

Is it still still Andrew Harrison and Aaron Harrison BPA at #4 and #17??
