The **Official** I Endorse Dave Ballou Thread

We should play a side game - anyone wins a pot with 7-2, everyone else on the table pays them 25 chips.

And by show of hands, how many people are interested in the high hand of the night thing. Let me add a couple of details in case it's confusing.

First, it's sort of a way to add action for people who are looking for more action.

Here's how it will work.

Only those who want in will have their high hand count.

In order for your hand to be eligible it must either take the pot and be shown to the table or be shown at the showdown. Either way it is your responsibility to bring the hand to my attention before the next hand. If your hand is shown at the showdown but is beaten by a non participating player it is still eligible.

If you fold the hand it is not eligible.

You only need to bring the hand to my attention if it beats the current high hand.

If you have the high hand but leave before the tournament is finished you will still win the pool. I will contact you to make arrangements.

Make sense? Sound like fun?

Count me in on dis action

Hey Ballou bro, are you going to pay my buy in for the Utah vs byu game bet from a year ago???

Are you going to bring me the image that I requested? In short, no I'm not. You got 50% of your payment, and then decided to forfeit the rest. However, I will be more than happy to go double or nothing on this years game, and forget about your past transgression.

You are an outlandish person.

Double or nothing it is.

Can I play via skype?

You're in. Give me your email and we'll work out how you want to collect your losings later. Don't be a bootch and back out now.

Should we penalize for rebuys?

No, but $10 of $20 should go to the campaign. It should loosen things up and make MY pot huge.

No Devin, GF?

I'm willing to deal, but I'm out of form and might have to default to GF on an occasion or two.

If losing $20 isn't enough for you..

If it means Gameface can play too, I'd be willing to deal and play. Probably have to call in some reinforcements a time or two when I inevitably have questions.

Probably in on the high hand thingy.

I know the easy money is attractive but I'm not looking to play. Want to focus on running a smooth tournament. The rebuy stuff and the fact that I'm out of practice for about a year tells me I shouldn't try to play poker at the same time as host. I'm way cool with that. Hosting is funner than playing for me.

I can deal if you need someone. Won't there need to be 2 dealers even if you don't play?

Yeah, would need two volunteers. It's either both tables get a dedicated dealer or neither does.

Oh, I thought you were gonna be one of the dealers.

I can deal, or not. Doesn't matter, but I have a hard time seeing how anyone coming wouldn't know how to shuffle cards and pass them out. Almost everyone is used to taking turns as the dealer I would think
