Sorry, but I was quoting you, and I also said you, or who ever said we trade Favors for Randle. Yes. I'm sure Randle is ultra talented, but still unproven in the nba, and unless it's Wiggins, I'm not trading Favors for the chance to draft some rookie. Think we have our big three for years to come n Favors, Hayward, and Kanter.

There was only one person that mentioned trading Favors. I agree that Randle/Kanter will be better defensively than Boozer/Okur.

You're at your (ignorant, narrow minded) best again...FINALLY!
Favors is unproven as well. His game screams center, his body power forward. Until he's proven he can bang down low efficiently, he's not a slightly undersized but athletic as hell with kraken-wingspan Dwight Howard v2 but still in beta. Right now it's alpha phase.
Randle on the other hand is a prototype All NBA team for a decade PF who has all the gifts to become special.
But you'd prolly also not trade the unibrow for Favors. So forget what I just said. And btw I think Randle will be better than the unibrow.

Why?? Favors is going to be special as a defensive anchor for years to come. Right now Randle is nothing more then hype. Not saying he will not be good, but until I see different he's not the game changer on defense Favors is, and with Kanter taking on the offensive burden, and being good from 15 to 20 feet out, they fit each other more then Randle and Kanter.

Here's an idea. Let's keep Favors and our draft pick along with the GS pick.

Let's just be ignorant together. Favors had his best season, and was one of the better defenders in the league. Had he played more minutes he probably would've received some consideration for DPOY, not only that, but the jazz let there two main players in Al and Millsap walk for nothing, if they didn't feel Favors was ready I would think they'd have kept one of Millsap or Al. And by the way Favors proved he could guard C's just fine. Just ask Gortat. I think he's still having nightmares about Favors.

I think his offense should look much better now that he actually has a pg that actually plays like a pg.
 
If Favors can't show this year that he will be a good PF without his athletic advantage the Jazz need to trade him before he starts to lose that advantage. Buy low sell high.

We don't necessarily need to get a PF for him as Kanter can move to the four.

So Favors did mediocre numbers against 2nd units? I'm impressed...NOT! But since this discussion at this point of the year makes no sense, let's postpone it to the end of the NCAA tourney when the Jazz last 10 games are also rigged by contender resting players, tanking teams faking injuries and guys planning their holidays.
Then we can have this conversation on another level. Then we can see IF Favors can indeed handle Center each and every night. Starting Center. Not Marcin Gortat ;)
Cause I disagree right now to put him in conversation with guys like Chandler, Sanders, Hibbert etc. To me it's upside, like with Randle. And Randle's upside is more tempting to me.

personally I would keep favors and trade kanter, but randle is a once in a decade type of player.

If Randle is really a once in a decade type player, then why would you keep Favors? (Kanter could be a once in a decade type player too IMO)
 
I'm in no camp on this subject. Randle is crazy skilled.. but I too want to see him play against more elite competition. Favors is a very good player at the level he's at.. but I'm not holding my breath he gets markedly better.

Its a toss up for me.
 
I have to be honest, Randle looks better than Kanter. But I saw him only in highlight videos. Plus he looks like he could easily be 300+ lbs in a couple months if he doesn't care much.
