Something you learned when you had some time to do nothing other than think in the pen?
Excuse me? What the **** are you talking about?

That said, I thank you Confucious for the wisdom you've imparted and will take it with me as I journey through life.
Don't patronize me you ****ing hump.
You live your life the way you want.
this never happened in the shirts & skins days.
Or an uncomfortable situation in which said person becomes offended that I don't know how I should refer to them in the first place because said person is overly sensitive about anything and everything about the issue.
Sound familiar?
I cannot speak for all transgender people, but can certainly let you know how I feel on the subject. I would much rather have someone who is unsure ask me my preferred pronouns versus just making the incorrect assumption. Of course you should show some tact when asking. Really though if you just go based on what you see, you really shouldn't have a problem most of the time.
When I've been out in public, this really hasn't been an issue for me. In fact, I've had it happen in reverse. I am often called ma'am or miss when I'm out in my "boy mode". Although my "boy mode" is rather androgynous, being just jeans and a t-shirt. That doesn't bother me at all. It actually makes me feel quite good.
I say we all walk around with our genitals exposed so nobody will get offended.
I say this as tactfully as I can. Do you look like a girl? In other words, is it obvious to those in public who don't know you, even when you're in boy mode, that you are in fact a girl?
I cannot speak for all transgender people,
Moe terms like himher or heshe are insulting to transgender people. Please don't try to push them.
Pick a side.
I'm glad this story is being told. It's a good time for it too, as November is Transgender Awareness Month. I've tried before to explain what it means to be transgender on this board, but will try some more.
Dogs don't really raise their children. ruff ruff.
Please tell me how I don't fit into "insulting to transgender people"? Do you seriously still not understand that I am transgender? I am a transgender person, and as such I find those terms offensive.
What color represents transgender awareness month? Pink is breast cancer, Red is AIDS, purple is Domestic violence.
Let me guess... The color that represents you tweeners is "a shade of grey"
I would say that yes I do. I am always accepted as a girl when I go out in public presenting as a girl. I have no problems using the women's restroom. I must not be passing very well as a boy since I get called ma'am and miss when out in my "boy mode". So that leads me to believe I do look like a girl. I have been told by several people that I have feminine features. I'm not tall at just under 5'7", and have always had a slender build. The only issues I've had are from biased people such as my family. One of my brothers tried to tell me I have masculine features. Everyone else says the complete opposite.
I'll let you judge for yourself by posting a picture of one of my Halloween costumes.

I dunno, Eric...that could lead to a lotta trouble, doncha figure?
Last time I was at school and called that Babe, who had a DA haircut with plenty of butch wax, wore a big chain for a belt, cowboy boots, and had a pack of Lucky Strikes tucked into her rolled up t-shirt sleeve a "bulldyke" after she started a fist-fight with me, they was hell to pay.
I guess I shoulda just called him a man, eh?
