NFL Discussion Thread - 2013

I do think the Bronc's are the best team in the AFC so far this season and top 2 or 3 overall in the NFL. With that said they've had a pretty soft schedule so far and am curious as the season goes on if the offense will slow down some and level out (still be one of the top but just not keep up this pace).

*edit*

Actually looking at their schedule, they may have only 2 or 3 tough games all year, Cowboys and the Colts home games could be tough (should win but Dallas has a pretty good offense and looks like they'll win the NFC east by default because that division is that bad so far this season) but IND's D is just okay so they should win both those at worst in a shootout.

Then they play the Patriots in NE, not sure how good the Pats are but they aren't usually an easy game especially in NE. Lastly and I'm including this game because it is a AFC div rival, the KC game in KC, who look to have the toughest defense they'll see all season. They could easily go undefeated or only lose 1 game with that schedule.

My question is how in the hell does a team one play away from the SB get such an easy schedule, okay granted most people thought the NFC east would be better than they've showed so far this year.

I see four tough games for the Broncos. @ Patriots, @ Colts, @ Texans and @ Chiefs. I say they go 2-2 in those 4 games and finish 14-2. I say the Colts and Texans come away with wins over the Broncos.

Seattle/Denver Superbowl.

Seattle/Denver Superbowl.

Assuming they both look as good later as they do now, would be an interesting game. Seattle has a rough D, could they put the stops on the Denver O?

A lot of season left though, let's see what happens.

There is alot of season left but I am calling my prediction now. Seattle/Denver in the Big Apple.

Tough to argue against it right now. Both look really good.

Yeah they do. Plus I also like it becasue a sister is a big Seahawks fan and I remember when the Broncos and Seahawks were in the same division.

I thought about the Texans but just a personal gut feeling that they wont be as good as expected this year, to me they are showing signs of slippage... but that's just me.

Also could just be my meds speaking, so if anything I'm typing sounds crazy can I claim "med head"? Broke my left pinky Sat playing in a flag football league, after grabbing the flag I took my glove off and the top part (joint just bellow finger nail) was pointing at my ring finger. I thought it was dislocated so pulled it straight and put the glove back on (was only 4-5 plays left in the game) anyway had xray Mon, Tue had surgery with two pins put in and today... well lets just say I don't see how people can want take any kind of oxy drugs, HATE the way I feel.

They have shown signs of slippage. That is why I am picking them to win. I think they will fight their downfall and Denver will look past them to the playoffs since the game is in week 16.

If -- and this is a big IF -- the Patriots offense can get healthy and start clicking, then they will be a serious threat to Denver. I've been a Pats fan since Parcels, and this is looking like one of the better defenses they've had. They're athletic at every spot, and they have a few heady players.

I could see that. Any time you have Brady at QB and Belichick coaching you have the ability to be a threat.

That could be big. The Patriot's have yet to win a super bowl since their offense has been better than their defense

Bradford is horrid. For a guy who had great accuracy in college he threw quite a few passes tonight that should have been picked.

Manning had that problem forever in Indy. The fact Brady has it now is definitely poetic justice.

I know he's only been in the league a few years; but he looks completely fried out there. You put any kind of pressure on him and he loses his ****.

Checkdown Sam. The Rams got him some shiny new toys but he goes back to playing with the box they came in. Having Brian Schottenheimer have less offensive imagination than his dad doesn't help, and neither does having a "feature" RB who weighs a buck fitty. If someone told me at the start of the season that they would be 1-3 in the first four games, I could see that. I would just hope they were competitive and that's not the case right now. I had hopes for a launching season this year, with them truly competing in the near future. Hopefully the Redskins also keep losing and the Rams can draft Teddy Bridgewater.

That could happen to any non-mobile QB when the O-line can't block and hasn't for years and the team can't run to help take pressure off of him.

The Rams have no offensive line. So it doesn't matter what type of toys you have on the outside.

And the Rams hired on the epic fail offensive coordinator coach from the Jets. Huh? Why? That's like trading for Andreis Biedrins hoping that he will raise your FT percentage. If you want to improve your offense, why hire a guy who sucked with the Jets?

This Rams experiment is a doomed one. Why they hired that man to be their OC is a head scratcher. And why they keep adding weapons on the outside while forgetting the O line is beyond me.
