Lots of problems with ads...

I made sure all my java and flash and shockwave and all that was up to date, but I still get an error at least 3 or 4 times a night on JF stating that shockwave or some other player has failed and do I want to continue anyway, then I click yes and it gives me the page without the big ad banner at the top. At home I can use ad-blocker, but to help support the site I occasionally click on those for fun, so I don't want to block it completely all the time, but at work I can't use ad-blocker so that isn't even an option. Anyone else with similar issues? I tried to look for a similar thread but didn't find one, so sorry if this was #'ed and re-#'ed.

Well that's a given, but it has nothing to do with my computer locking up on shockwave ad banners on JF.

I was just thinking may be your browser caught some viruses from the said shady sites?

I've seen it too. Trying to find out which ads might be the cause. Let me know if you see a pattern.

What browser are you using. I had a similar problem with one of my comps after firefox updated. I ended up completely uninstalling shockwave and redownloading it fresh. After that no problems.
