Following potential 2014 draftees

Btw, I'm only sharing info as I get it. I'm not personally advocating until I see some college games with my own eyes.

PKM, thanks for the insight. I have had a crush on young ever since I saw the video posted. My only concern is his value goes to high and the Jazz won't be able to grab him with the GS pick. Before long he will be in the top 10 or higher(probable is at this point) if he is as good as I think he is.

Dream picks Wiggins/Young/Randle/Parker/Harrison twins/the brazilian kid. If the Jazz gets one of these guys I will be a happy camper if they get two I might have to visit the emergency room. I will keep my eye on some other fringe guys who I don't know enough about to have a definite opinion on yet.

Who is the brazilian kid?

I love this but I am still concerned about the PG position for the Jazz. It is still the weakest position on the team BY FAR!

I figure out weakest position was superstar/All-NBA player. We need to get a great player and everything will fall into place.

Hayward is a great 2nd scorer and all around player. Favors can be a very good supporting big man. We need a superstar offensive force.

I think Trey can turn out to be a very valuable role player if the Jazz can grab Jabari or Wiggins. Both will be primary ballhandler, orchestrating the game via iso/postup/PnR. Trey can simply do the entry passes when the plan is play inside-out, create space for Kanter/Favors by lurking at the 3pt line. He can create off the dribble when the main threat is on the bench.
So you want 2 core skills: Blindfolded 3 point shooting and Defense.
His weak PnR game won't hurt so much against NBA starters, but will be enough to kill bench players. Mostly these guys are bench players for a reason:
slow rotations, slow feet, limited offense(and by that I mean bad catching as well as no feel for the game, no touch to do anything aside rebounds/putbacks)
So it might be a good thing. It's not safe to say he can play a specialist role, but neither is it to expect him to lead a game. With his current shortcomings I see him struggling in these areas a lot. End of his sophomore season we'll probably have a good idea of what he can do.

I agree as well. And I think the FO sees it this way as well.

For the 100th time I'll say this;

This year the FO will evaluate every player and coach. They will use the draft to draft BPA but will use FA to fill the hole that is perceived, at that time, as the biggest need.

Imagine our team one year older and much more experienced.. add a #7 pick and a #20 pick. Then add as much as a max player, if necessary.

#7 come on top 5.
