OK, it seems that the Jazz will get a top 5 pick in 2014 and that there will be quite a few good players with a little separation so if the Jazz miss on Wiggins they can simply draft for need. So, based on what we have seen in the preseason so far where is the biggest need for Utah?

PG

Seeing as the only information I have that would help me decide this is the preseason so far I can either say the whole team or that I don't have enough actual data to decide. If I had become a basketball fan two weeks ago I might have said trade the whole team because they suck, but after watching them clean house a few years ago in preseason, only to have one of their worst seasons in recent history, I am going with preseason tells us nothing.

Well, you would hope Burke wasn't a wasted pick and can become a decent starting PG. If you consider Hayward to be a SG, then the Jazz have zero SF's heading into next year: Williams & Jefferson won't be back. Rush is a possibility, but I doubt it. So position of greatest need is SF. That said, Jazz should - and will - draft BPA. Utah needs a third big for the rotation, they need one or two wings (depending on the progress of Burks). And they can always use a PG. It's not a guarantee Neto will become a reliable back up to Burke, or that Trey will be a quality starter. Exum or Harrison could easily play in two PG sets, similar to what Sloan was doing with Maynor and Deron before Maynor got traded.

Best player available. I don't care what position he plays. Draft the next Michael, the next Magic, the next Kawl. Don't draft the next Oden or whoever was taken ahead of Michael because we like Favors or Hayward. Move anyone that complains.

Don't worry we can bring DMC back to be our SF in a couple years, so that spot is filled in the depth chart

BPA.

And hope that it's a scoring wing or an elite PG.

A quick question about your elite PG/wing comment. Would you rather take Duncan or Kobe if both were available? I'd take Duncan, hands down.

If we are so terrible as to have the fifth pick in the draft, than any position best player available because not one player on the team will have a guaranteed spot on the roster.
