Does THis Mean Brian Cook makes the team?

He also took 14 shots in 20 minutes...did he chuck or were his shots from the offense? 9 of those shots were threes. I dont want our PF taking 9 3point shots...

Is he the answer at stretch 4?

Hell no.... stupid question

Cut his *** already

Same questions I was going to ask and same thoughts as well.. after checking the box score. (or is it chucking the box score?

In favor of who? Jazz have 12 men on roster and need at least 13. So they have to keep at least one and up to 3.

Out of the following who do you keep?
Brian Cook - PF
Mike Harris - SF
Scott Machado - PG
Justin Holliday - SG
Ian Clark - SG
Lester Hudson - SG
Dominic McGuire - PF

Wow. There isn't one NBA player in that list. Yikes.

And that list doesn't include Jefferson/Evans/Biedrens/Lucas.

Man, I keep talking tank, but when you take a step back and realize that if the Jazz carry 13 players, 5 aren't even NBA talent-level. And one of those is our starting pg. Yikes. We suck.

I don't know the answer but I do know that corbin loves vets..... cook is a vet, therefore he is going to get too many minutes if we keep him

From Locke: I wonder who he's talking about: "I have always admired the Jazz organization for giving every player that comes to camp a fair shot at showing their skills. If you come to camp and work the Jazz always give players an opportunity to play and show their skills to the entire league. Tonight the Jazz did the same, unfortunately for some of those players their flaws showed more brightly than their strengths."

He actually mentioned specifically that they gave Machado and Harris time last night. He said he didn't think either would be in the NBA but that they were given time because they try hard all the time, maybe as a thank you. Too bad in the time they were given they sucked so horribly bad against scrubs. How many air balls did Machado chuck at the end?

He was one of the few bright spots last night.

If you only looked at him on one side of the court and disregard the first half.

I'm with Karadrys30, I hated seeing him in with the starters and Lucas. (sorry, I just can't include Lucas when I talk about starters)

It was bugging me to see him in there with them and Kanter on the bench, I don't care the reasons. (you're cookin my grits Ty)

Cook sucked against the Laker "starters" and was out of place, and chucking. He shot 3 times in 5 minutes at the end of the first half and made none. (not good shots imo)

The second half he shot more and started making some but I still don't like seeing him shoot so much with Hayward, Kanter, Favors, Burks on the floor at the same time.

He was out of place a lot on defense, I didn't like that... but in all fairness our team defense sucked most of the game and most people were out of place in spots. I did like Favors defense for the most part, as well as Haywards... and Kanter looked good on D. I liked Lucas effort on D, but it's like having a Millsap playing point.

I liked what Hayward did a few times, and posted up the smaller players on him, it really seemed to bother and rile up the PG guarding him when there was a switch and he went to the blocks.

Sorry if this post changed from evaluating Cook to talking about the game... sortof.

I don't understand, would you rather Cook in the post? That's not his game. Shooting 3s is. PF designation is arbitrary. Would you be pissed if Ryan Anderson shot 9 3s because he's a PF?

Disclaimer: I know Cook is a scrub.

Anderson is a proven NBA talent. He also shoots 38% from three for his career. He is not a guy trying to leave a good impression (changed the phrasing here due to the perverts on the board) in hopes that he will be given a spot on an NBA team. Defending the paint better be his game as a PF, same with rebounding. If he wants to shoot than fine. Take 10-20 foot jumpers. Him shooting 9 3s when he is not on fire in a preseason game where he wants to look good screams chucker to me.

LOL - there isn't a PF in the league that Cook can guard. He can hit 3's during garbage time in a pre-season game - big deal. I'm not a big fan of Jeremy Evans; but no way would I play this fossil in front of him.

Just not an NBA player anymore.

Cook looked awful yesterday and that was probably the best game of his career.
He kinda reminds me of a 3 point only shooting Al Jefferson.
