Regrets...

I'm sure this will be hard to believe, but Louisville, KY has the #1 ratio in the nation for restaurants per capita (excluding destination resort areas).

Fantastic restaurants in Louisville. As good as anything I've had anywhere in the world.

The irony is that KFC began in Utah. It's a pretty cool story how all of that came about.

Not true. But I tire of this subject.
It is true. Colonel Sanders had a restaurant in Kentucky that went out of business when it was bypassed by the interstate. Around that same time he divorced his wife who considered him to be a loser and was not supportive of his dream to franchise his restaurant concept. He took his first SS check and went in search of a partner to open new stores. He finally found one in Dick Harmon who started selling Sanders' chicken from an existing restaurant in Murray. A sign painter advertised the new item by painting Kentucky Fried Chicken (because it sounded so exotic to Utahns) on a board and the franchise was literally born.

Harlan Sanders started selling his chicken in Corbin, KY. It was a total hit and he continued expanding his restaurant until he finally sold it and decided to franchise "Kentucky Fried Chicken." His first franchisee was a guy from SLC.

So the endeavor began in KY in 1930 but it's first franchise was in SLC sometime in the '40's.

I regret not seeing this thread in time to have been the first to make a joke about my only regret being joining the site. That would have brought the house down.

I owned the domain auction.com in 93/94 for a school project and let the registration expire. Had I held on to it, I could have sold it for enough to be rich enough to pursue my dream: becoming a moderator on Jazzfanz.

Did you srsly own auction.com??

A friend of mine owned a URL and was blown away when he was offered $5k for it... he laughed all the way to the bank.
