What's new

Had a little chat with David Locke

Need vslice to return. Hell, I'd be happy to see BillyShelby around more (I regret being such a dick to that dude).

Goddamnit that guy knew his ****.

I follow him on twitter, and he always posts on this blog.

Still, I wish he'd come back to Jazzfanz. I remember he came back around when Millsap wasn't re-upped (much to his dismay)-- but I haven't seen much of him sense.

Definitely an awesome poster though.

Do you have any realistic hope that a Trey-Enes or a Hay-Enes combo will pan out? or, are we waiting another year for an effective pnr ball handler?

No, but pretty much what Dalamon and GVC already said about Trey now, and Trey maybe.

I have no problem with one random drunk dude ****ting on my lawn. When every dude in the neighborhood decides to get drunk and **** on lawns daily, it's a problem. When someone who should know better joins the let's-get-drunk-and-****-on-lawns club, it's disappointing.

Darkwing Dick? That dude used to hold it down before going full time sarcastic.

vslice was the best. What's his twitter handle or blog (or whatever)?

In my previous post, I hyperlinked it under the 'this blog' part. Just click on those two words, and it will pop-up.

I want to say his twitter handle is @Jazzbasketball1 -- but if you go on his blog I'm sure it will have his twitter as well.

His blog is super cool. Lots of elaborations, links, etc.

Internet forum post are much less intrusive/of big deal than someone ****ting on someone else's lawn imo.

This blog is amazing.

Jazzfanatical is probably the most humorous blog, but VSlice's is definitely the best in terms of content.

Go back a couple of weeks, and look at the things he posted in celebration of Malone's 50th birthday (if you haven't already).

All Favors has to do for that is stand on the low block and wait for the lob if his man leaks up to cover the ball handler. But you need a competent ball handler who can shoot and pass, which the Jazz don't have. Have no clue why you think Corbin doesn't know something so basic when he uses it every single game...

There are several other plays with promising results but the lack of a point guard is going to take away a lot and make things hard to watch once again.

It looked more like going with the flow than a basic set piece applied on purpose, but maybe I need to watch the preseason again.

We still have a few hours so I'll take it.

Unless you're thinking of them going into high-low or something afterwards it's probably more about JLIII not being a threat than it is about Favors not holding his man.

If I were defending JLIII going left I'd dump Kanter's defender into the paint and let the guard fight through Kanter's screen (between Kanter and the defending big). Since JLIII is not a threat, the guard can recover and the big doesn't have to hedge much at all and can still cover the pass to Kanter (he can guard both, really). If Lucas happens to turn the corner then Favor's guy can come over late since he's not hitting anything high %.

If JLIII pushes middle instead I'm guessing they really don't care and let him commit just before pulling the big up to challenge

Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity...

This place drags you down, you know.

Sounds like he was actually kind of cool in person. Not giving you the party line, swearing, and spending 15 mins with you rapping.

I like Locke a little bit more now. He'll never know though because he never comes here or anything....

He was way chill. Just another guy who loves talking about the Jazz.
