What's new

You asked for it...now your getting it.

I hate the proverbial "one-player-away" cliché but this this team it actually applies.

With a little luck in the draft or with next year's free agents/offseason moves, Jazz are a 50 win team.

It is premature to say much until we see see Burke for 20 games. A better point guard would do wonders for are late game play. I worry about this team bouncing back without a win.

We are a lot more than one player away. We need a pg, a backup pg, a #1 scorer, and a couple three point threats. The good news is, with a top 3 pick and good FA summer we could get them all.

We are more like one season away.

I am really enjoying watching this team play. It is a lot more entertaining than the last few years.

I think once this team learns to close some games that they are going to start winning. (No, I'm not talking about Hayward versus Burk as closers either... the entire team fails to execute down the stretch so the entire team is not clutch).

3 competitive games, 3 losses. What's not to like?

This

I'm with the majority. I've been more than impressed with the team's fight. Defense could have used some work against Houston, but you can tell they're trying.

If you want a top 3 pick, then settle in for the long haul and enjoy small steps forward as the losses pile up.

If we start to win games, it will be because Burke leads us to those wins. He is our only shot at a guy who can score on his own or set others up to score.

Burke and Neto say hello. So PG may already be handled. #1 scorer this draft plus Burks and Kanter have promise there as well. Rush and Hayward say hello from 3 point range. Anything else?

Burks is scoring and assisting.

The starting bigs sticking their tails between their legs and stop running the offense in the 3rd quarter because they're scared about missing shots. Kanter is being a *****, won't post up, won't shoot wide open mid-range jumpers, etc. We can't rely on lazy pnr for the entire second half. If we are going to try that **** then I want Alec Burks playing 48 minutes.

I"M FRAKING OUT MAN.

Give me a ****ing break already.

Exaclty. I don't think Neto is good enough year 1 though. I say this:

Burke, vet FA pg, Neto.
Draft pick = #1 scorer. Then toss in Kanter and Burk/Hayward.
Rush and another FA (this may be Hayward)

So, yeah, I think we are on the same page. We need more than one player, but we might already have a couple injured on the bench right now.

I'll freak out if we go 0-82.

Since we really have no shot at the title this year anyway I think that would actually be kind of cool. Set the all time record for futility then come back and win 60 games next season. Greatest turnaround in NBA history.

To be honest, with the injuries and the supporting, or lack of supporting cast around our main guys, I'm surprised we've been competitive in these three games. (I do expect some ugly blowouts to happen on this road-trip). Gordon Hayward is our best player. Burks is the only bench player who can score. John Lucas is starting at the point. We lost a game to Phoenix, and we should be happy. Phoenix is a great team for us to lose to.

the best case scenario is playing competitive games and then losing at the end. The games are entertaining and we're getting a high draft pick. This is perfect.

Someone please start an official thread that let's me know when I should officially freak out, please.

Given the tank... won't be until 2016-17 season.

No we are not. If the Jazz get a good pick in the draft and choose correctly we are there.

Kanter, Favors, Gobert, Evans, Rush, Hayward, Burks, Burke, Neto, Jefferson, Williams. Add an elite draft pick and GST s pick an that is 13 players. All the Jazz have to do is match on Hayward, bring over Neto, and land Rush, Jefferson and Williams. I think keeping Rush will be the hardest. Jefferson stays as he will appreciate the chance Utah gave him and will stick around. This team as is when healthy and an elite scorer is there.

******** ignored. You are now the only person I have ignored. Congrats, you are dumber than carolina jazz.

I can once again tell you that you are alone and wrong in your argument.
